In 1976, his first novel Un borghese piccolo piccolo (A Very Normal Man) was published, through the efforts of Italian novelist Italo Calvino. The book was immediately successful, and adapted for film in 1977 by Mario Monicelli. Also critically acclaimed was the verse novel, Addio Lenin (Goodbye Lenin), published 1981.
A book review is a form of literary criticism in which a book is analyzed based on content, style, and merit. A book review can be a primary source opinion piece, summary review or scholarly review. Books can be reviewed for printed periodicals, magazines and newspapers, as school work, or for book web sites on the Internet. A book review's length may vary from a single paragraph to a substantial essays. Such a review may evaluate the book on the basis of personal taste. Reviewers may use the occasion of a book review for a display of learning or to promulgate their own ideas on the topic of a fiction or non-fiction work.
The cartoon starts out in the same, pastoral "after midnight at a closed bookstore" fashion of Frank Tashlin's trio of "books coming to life" cartoons, to the strains of Moonlight Sonata. A colorized version of the storefront from A Coy Decoy can be seen. Inside, an inebriated "cuckoo bird" pops out of a cuckoo clock to announce the arrival of midnight (and signaling the "cuckoo" activities to follow) and the books come alive. The cartoon's first lampoon and pun appears, a book collection called "Complete works of Shakespeare". Shakespeare is shown in silhouette while his literally-rendered "works" are clockwork mechanisms, along with old-fashioned "stop" and "go" traffic signals, set to the "ninety years without slumbering, tick-tock, tick-tock" portion of "My Grandfather's Clock".
Cerami (Sicilian: Cirami) is a comune in Sicily, southern Italy, part of the Province of Enna. The town itself is perched on a mountaintop 1,000 metres (3,300ft) above sea level. A river also named Cerami flows through this area.
Cerami produces cereals, olives, grapes, and almonds. It also is known for cattle breeding and sheep herding. It holds a Cattle Fair during the month of August.
History
Cerami was founded by the Greeks as part of Magna Graecia in the fourth century BC. The name Cerami derives from the Greek term Keràmion, that means terracotta. The territory hosts several archeological areas, such as the Raffo district where remains of a Greek necropolis were discovered.
A hilltop town, Cerami was the location of a major battle between Normans and Muslims in 1063, during the Norman conquest of the Island by Roger I of Sicily son of Tancred of Hauteville. According to historian Goffredo Malaterra, after being besieged in the neighboring town of Troina for four months, Roger and 136 ferocious Norman knights took to the field of Cerami and faced approximately 50,000 Muslim soldiers. The apparition of St. George was said to have materialized on a white horse carrying the sign of the cross on his lance and charging into the enemy where their array was the most dense. Malaterra claims the Normans slaughtered 35,000 of the enemy. According to English historian Edward Gibbon, even accounting for 5 or 6 men at arms accompanying each Norman knight into battle, and even accounting for the Normans' superior martial training, the victory was either miraculous or fabulous. Nevertheless, the Normans went on to capture the island.
The Cerami is a torrente in Sicily. It is located in the comune, also named Cerami, and passes near a town bearing the same name. It flows into the Salso River (a tributary of the Simeto).
Book Review of A Very Normal Man by Vincenzo Cerami
Hello everyone,
Here is another book I have reviewed from an author whom I had not read before - he's Italian.
This was a highly readable book which you immersed into the story immediately. I couldn't say anything about the plot because the book 'feels' like two different books as there's a turn of events that is immediate. I had to do a double take and go back and re-read it because it seemed so instant!
Have you read any of Cerami's books? Let me know your thoughts.

The Italian screenwriter and director Vincenzo Cerami, author of a number of screenplays, died this Wednesday in Rome at 72 years of age. The writer worked together with Roberto Benigni on "Life is Beautiful" in 1999. teleSUR http://multimedia.telesurtv.net/media/telesur.video.web/telesur-web/#!en/video/muere-guionista-italiano-vincenzo-cerami-autor-de-la-vita-e-bella

In 1976, his first novel Un borghese piccolo piccolo (A Very Normal Man) was published, through the efforts of Italian novelist Italo Calvino. The book was immediately successful, and adapted for film in 1977 by Mario Monicelli. Also critically acclaimed was the verse novel, Addio Lenin (Goodbye Lenin), published 1981.
my favorite book of 2023!

hello hello lil cherubs! in today's video i am re-reading Colleen Hoover's book, November 9, with my good pal @jakethatcher_
Jake having never read a Colleen Hoover book, I knew I had to invite him on and read the most problematic book I have read to date. This video was originally supposed to be a video essay on Colleen Hoover books, and the romanticization of abusive relationships, and non-consensual events, but there are so many incredible videos already dissecting the problem with many of miss hoover's books, so instead we are leading you with a bedtime story while we rip it a new one. hope u enjoy! xoxo nikki nasty
