The Tragic Story Of Poison
During the hair metal craze of the ‘80s and ‘90s, Poison was on top of the world. Led by Bret Michaels, the band had hits with songs like “Every Rose Has its Thorn” and “Nothin’ but a Good Time." But things were quite difficult behind the scenes.
Michaels had been facing health issues from childhood, guitarist C.C. DeVille’s alcoholism got so bad that he was fired from the band, and replacement guitarist Richie Kotzen was fired for his relationship with drummer Rikki Rockett’s ex-fiancee. They’ve continued to be plagued by troubles in recent years, so let’s take a look at the tragic story of Poison.
