The Royal Hospital School (usually shortened as "RHS" and historically nicknamed "The Cradle of the Navy") is a Britishco-educationalindependent day and boarding school with naval traditions. The school admits pupils from age 11 to 18 (Years 7 to 13) through Common Entrance or the school's own exam. The school is regulated by Acts of Parliament.
A hospital school is a school operated in a hospital, generally a children's hospital which provides instruction to all primary and secondary grade levels. These schools help children regain academic progress during periods of hospitalization or rehabilitation. The schools are most often accredited and run by the local public school system, funded by the state, and are based on the same curriculum and testing mandated by the state as is practical for the students. Enrollments are low when compared to traditional schools and teachers must provide instruction for many grade levels.
The LeHo Project
The LeHo Project (Learning at Home and in the Hospital) is an international 3-year project funded by the European Union, and managed by the Politecnico di Milano aiming to research, develop and disseminate effective pedagogical practices and appropriate use of ICT within the Hospital School Sector.
The aims of this project are to:
Outline key educational factors and good practices needed by students who are ill.
Explore and design ICT-based solutions which will enable children in hospital, receiving home therapy, or who attend school part-time due to illness, to access education.
Demonstrate how technology can impact on the methodology and pedagogy in Home and Hospital Education (HHE).
Several hospitals and former hospitals are known formally or informally as Royal Hospital or simply The Royal, indicating some form of royal patronage, such as sponsorship, usage, or creation by royal charter.

Hospital schools make sure kids who aren’t well enough to go to school don’t have to miss out on any learning. They’ve been around for about 100 years in Australia, and today there’s one in every state. We visit the Hospital School in Adelaide and hears what it’s like from some of the students.

I was an arrogant son and you were barely holding onto me (to me), So we (so we) lost everything that we had. One more night, just call my name and i can meet you there just call (just call) my name (my name) and tell me that i made you proud. I have become who I hope that you were, but i'd tear out my two eyes for one chance to bring you back here, its not that far to the hospital just say you'll take me and i'll be happy. I have become who I hope that you were, but i'd tear out my two eyes for one chance to bring you back here, it's not that far to the hospital just say you'll take me and i'll be happy. (and i'll be happy-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e-e) Is this time, or an afternoon sun, when life (life) is marked by years that run from me? (from me?). So please, (so please) just tell me where i went wrong. One more night spent in this room and coping with regret, just call (just call) my name (my name) and tell me that i make you proud. I have become who i hope that you were, but i'd tear out my two eyes for one chance to bring you back here, its not that far to the hospital just say you'll take me and i'll be happy.
