Beverley "Bev" Bevan (born 25 November 1944) is an English rock musician, who was the drummer and one of the original members of The Move and Electric Light Orchestra (ELO). After the end of ELO in 1986, he founded ELO Part II.
After education at Moseley Grammar School where he gained two O level passes, he worked as a trainee buyer in a city centre department store called The Beehive with school friend Jasper Carrott (Bob Davis). His professional music career started with a stint with Denny Laine in his group Denny Laine and the Diplomats, then with Carl Wayne & the Vikings, followed by The Move in 1966. The Electric Light Orchestra released their first album in 1971, by which time The Move existed only as a recording outfit. They released their final single, "California Man" in 1972.
Bitter:Sweet is a trip hop duo with jazz-like qualities from Los Angeles in the state of California, in the United States. The band is composed of Shana Halligan, who provides vocals and lyrics and composes the songs, and Kiran Shahani, who produces and composes the songs.
Appearances
They have been listed on the Top 10 on the iTunes Store electronic chart and have been placed on radio station KCRW's Top 5 Most Requested CD for the week of March 20, 2006. Additionally, they have been featured on the soundtrack of The Devil Wears Prada, in Episode 2 ("I Am a Tree") of Season 3 of Grey's Anatomy, in Episode 7 ("The Ringer") of Season 1 of Moonlight, in Episode 1 ("Pilot") of Lipstick Jungle, in Episode 17 ("Sleeper") of Season 7 of Smallville, in Episode 13 ("Betrayed") of Season 7 of Law and Order: Criminal Intent, the advertisements for Samantha Who? and Victoria's Secret (featuring the track "Dirty Laundry"), in the movies Because I Said So and Shoot 'Em Up, in a Zune advertisement (and the device itself), and also placed on MSN's list for "Ones to Watch". The song "Dirty Laundry" also appears on a commercial for the show "Greek" in the United Arab Emirates.
Bitter Sweet is an operetta in three acts, with book, music and lyrics by Noël Coward. The story, set in 19th century and early 20th century England and Austria-Hungary, centres on a young woman's elopement with her music teacher. The songs from the score include "The Call of Life", "If You Could Only Come with Me", "I'll See You Again", "Dear Little Café", "If Love Were All", "Ladies of the Town", "Tokay", "Zigeuner" and "Green Carnation".
The show had a long run in the West End from 1929 to 1931, and a more modest one on Broadway in 1929–1930. The work has twice been adapted for the cinema, and the complete score has been recorded for CD.
Background
Coward wrote the leading role of Sari with Gertrude Lawrence in mind, but the vocal demands of the part were beyond her capabilities. His second choice, Evelyn Laye, refused the role because of a private grievance against the producer of the show, C B Cochran. Coward's third choice, Peggy Wood, made a considerable success in the part, and Laye, realising her mistake in turning it down, willingly accepted the role in the subsequent Broadway production. For the part of the leading man, Cochran and Coward toured the theatres of Europe in search of someone suitable. According to Coward, a likely candidate named Hans Unterfucker was ruled out because of his name, and George Metaxa was cast.

ELO - Breakin' Down The Walls
Band: Electric Light Orchestra Part II
Album: Moment of Truth
Song: Breakin' Down the Walls
Lyrics: (START)
Talk is cheap, but it can't pay
For all the hurt you threw my way
Oh no - Oh no
Love is blind but I can see
You're trying to make a fool of me
I know - I know
Sometimes I feel just like
I'm running on ice
I might slip and slide girl
But you won't hurt me twice
Oh no
CHORUS
No matter what you say
You'll never stop me
Breaking down the walls around your heart
No matter what you do
You just can't stop me
Breaking down the walls around your heart
Love is passion, love is pain
The heat is on, we're all insane
I know, I know
Life is bitter, life is sweet

Electric Light Orchestra | Auntie (Ma-Ma-Ma Belle Demo)
In March 1973, a series of five demos (this being the third) were performed by Jeff Lynne and Richard Tandy to the rest of the ELO lineup at the time. It was the band's first time hearing the new songs in their earliest, roughest form. These songs would soon evolve into the music that we all know and love from the album "On The Third Day".
The audio is very rough, which is likely attributable to low-quality equipment being used to record. Regardless, this is extremely rare audio from that era, and is a valuable look back to ELO's more prog-heavy music.

You enchant me so my bittersweet flower Mystery of the sages come into my realm of imagination let me digest you You enchant me so my bittersweet flower Shall we make love feel the waves of the ocean come to rest in the eye of a storm I cry myself to sleep over you You come then you go The more I fall the more you let go The sweet taste of you stains my lips Even through the pain it's only you I miss Unlike those before I wanna free you Let the sweetness of your kiss rush over me I search so many lifetimes Let my soul rest in your arms And I'll let you inside
