Guest host
A guest host (or guest presenter in the United Kingdom) is a host, usually of a talk show, that substitutes for the regular host if they are, for example, ill or have other commitments. Although guest hosts are often undesirable, some shows have seen the guest host do a better job than the main host, and filling in as a guest host has helped to launch the careers of a variety of television and radio talents. In U.S. radio, the concept of a guest host is known as a "swing jock".
History
The Tonight Show
This phrase was popularized on The Tonight Show during Johnny Carson's 30-year reign as host from 1962 to 1992. Toward the end of his tenure, Carson was granted more personal time off, and substitute hosts would be seen on the air more often. "Permanent guest host" is an oxymoron that likely originated on The Tonight Show. Some guest hosts of The Tonight Show have gone on to host talk shows of their own. Jay Leno went on to succeed Johnny Carson; Joan Rivers went on to host The Late Show Starring Joan Rivers on Fox; and David Brenner hosted the short-lived Nightlife in the late-1980s. Richard Belzer hosted Hot Properties on the Lifetime network in the mid-1980s. When Rivers was fired by FOX in 1988, The Late Show adopted a format consisting only of guest hosts. One of them, Arsenio Hall, went on to his own show, which lasted 1989 to 1994.

Plot summary
The story take place about a century after an apocalypse. It includes "neomages", a new race of beings that arose during the time of the apocalypse. They live in an area known as the Enclave, which is both a prison and sanctuary, and are able to work with "leftover creation energy".
Thorn St. Croix is a neomage in exile from the Enclave. Thorn (unlike most mages) is telepathic, and she constantly hears the thoughts of the other mages in the Enclave. This threatened to drive her insane when it began during her adolescence and forced her to live amongst humans whose thoughts she does not hear.

"Host" is a song by British indie rock band The Crocketts. Credited to Davey MacManus and The Crocketts and produced by Charlie Francis, "Host" was featured on the band's 2000 second album The Great Brain Robbery, and released as its first single on 3 April 2000.

Reception
In their review of The Great Brain Robbery, magazine Welsh Bands Weekly described "Host" as an "addictive" song, claiming that it "sticks around inside your head for days ... and the pretty guitar sound is just so addictive".Kerrang! awarded the single four out of five Ks in their review, describing the song as "a slightly melancholy number ... a timely reminder that life can be amazing, even when it hurts".
Music video
The music video for "Host" was directed by Ralph Brown and produced by Mark Williams, both of whom also perform in the video. The video was filmed in Brighton on the request of Williams, including a number of "rich and red" theatre interiors on the West Pier. Williams describes the theme of the video as "a ghost story", and says that the inspiration came from listening to the lyrics of the song.

Jonathan (1 Samuel)
Jonathan (Hebrew: יְהוֹנָתָן Yəhōnāṯān or Yehonatan; or יוֹנָתָן Yonatan) is a heroic figure in 1 Samuel in the Hebrew Bible. He was the eldest son of King Saul and close friend of King David. Like his father, he was a man of great strength and swiftness (2 Samuel 1:23), and excelled in archery and slinging (2 Samuel 1:22 - 1 Chronicles 12:2). The relationship between David and Jonathan is one of the most notable biblical relationships.
Conflicts with Saul
Jonathan first appears in the biblical narrative as the victor of Geba, a Philistine stronghold (1 Samuel 13), while in the following chapter he carries out a lone attack on another Philistine garrison, demonstrating his "prowess and courage as a warrior." However, he eats honey without knowing that his father had said, "Cursed be any man who eats food before evening comes" (1 Samuel 14:24). Saul means to put Jonathan to death because of this, but relents when the soldiers protest (1 Samuel 14:45).
The story of David and Jonathan is introduced in chapter 18, where it says that "Jonathan became one in spirit with David, and he loved him as himself" (verse 1). Jonathan helps David escape from Saul, and asks him to show kindness to his family (1 Samuel 20:14-15), which indicates that Jonathan recognizes David as the future king.

In responding to the Covid-19 pandemic governments around the world have issued emergency declarations which, among other things, have significantly limited or banned public gatherings including religious services and meetings. Some Christian individuals and churches have characterized these restrictions as egregious violations of religious rights and engaged in acts of protest, civil disobedience, and legal challenges to assert their rights. While I agree that governments often use crises to extend control over individuals and society and that religious freedoms are often threatened in contemporary Western societies, I do not believe that Covid restrictions in Canada are a significant example of the latter. In this talk I will explore these issues, argue that religious freedom is a key element in establishing peace and prosperity in civic space, and make the case for a Christian approach to establishing, extending, and defending that principle.

In June 2019 the Vatican released a statement on gender theory, “Male and Female He Created Them.” Responses to the document show that many Catholics still accept two myths about Church teaching on gender. The first is that it is unchanging, and the second is that it always comes from the top down. Yet, Pope Francis has also spoken of a need for both rethinking Church teaching and more dialogue. In this lecture, Dr. Tataryn shows that Church teaching, especially in the area of sexuality, is not static but has changed over the centuries. Moreover, he argues that the process should be more dialogical and less hierarchical.
Myroslaw Tataryn is Professor Emeritus of Religious Studies at St. Jerome’s University. A married Ukrainian Greco-Catholic priest, he served as SJU Vice President and Academic Dean at St. Jerome’s from 2005 to 2011. His most recent work, Discovering Trinity in Disability: A Theology for Embracing Difference, was co-authored with his wife Maria Truchan-Tataryn. He has authored books and papers in the history of the Ukrainian Greco-Catholic Church in Canada and topics in Eastern Christian theology.

A guest host (or guest presenter in the United Kingdom) is a host, usually of a talk show, that substitutes for the regular host if they are, for example, ill or have other commitments. Although guest hosts are often undesirable, some shows have seen the guest host do a better job than the main host, and filling in as a guest host has helped to launch the careers of a variety of television and radio talents. History
The Tonight Show
This phrase was popularized on The Tonight Show during Johnny Carson's 30-year reign as host from 1962 to 1992. Toward the end of his tenure, Carson was granted more personal time off, and substitute hosts would be seen on the air more often. "Permanent guest host" is an oxymoron that likely originated on The Tonight Show. Some guest hosts of The Tonight Show have gone on to host talk shows of their own. Jay Leno went on to succeed Johnny Carson; Joan Rivers went on to host The Late Show Starring Joan Rivers on Fox; and David Brenner hosted the short-lived Nightlife in the late-1980s. Richard Belzer hosted Hot Properties on the Lifetime network in the mid-1980s. When Rivers was fired by FOX in 1988, The Late Show adopted a format consisting only of guest hosts. One of them, Arsenio Hall, went on to his own show, which lasted 1989 to 1994.
