It's not the first time there have been calls for Western Australia to leave the Federation – but is it actually possible and what would it look like?
Reporter Ben Gubana breaks down the case for secession.

Australia is a paradise for every traveller. The gigantic country is full of wild animals, beautiful natural places and cultural highlights. After a previous trip along the east coast of Australia, we now visit the west coast in the province of Western Australia. And how? We take the 4x4 with two rooftop tents and head out into the great outdoors. We drive from Perth to Broome, but first make a trip to the Margaret River region. We sleep in nature, visit the most beautiful beaches, do a wine tasting and visit a local beer brewery. Along the way we see hundreds of kangaroos, birds, wallabies and much more! Perhaps the greatest adventure yet and this is only part 1.
After this first part we will visit Perth, Fremantle, Rotnest Island, the Pinnacles, Geraldton, Hutt Lagoon, Calbarri National Park, Hamlin Pool, Shark Bay, François Peron, Monkey Mia, Carnarvon, Coral Bay, Ningaloo Reef, Exmouth, Cape Range National Park, Karijini National Park, Port Headland, 80 Mile Beach, Cape Keraudren and Broome.
We make our trip through Australia during a year-long world tour. We may even continue to travel indefinitely. On New Year's Day we started in Lanzarote and Fuerteventura, the Canary Islands. Then you saw us in Oman, Cape Verde, Martinique, Saint Lucia, Tobago, Grenada, the Bahamas, the United States, Mexico, Ecuador, the Galapagos Islands, Brazil, Qatar, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and Malaysia. The next continent Australia is already our nineteenth destination. Follow us on this world tour, first Margaret River and Perth, then the rest of West-Australia and then to many more beautiful destinations! We also cross over to Africa! We travel non-stop all year round and film everything, with a new episode every week. Also take a look at instagram @woutoftheworld or www.woutoftheworld.nl

Perth, the capital of Western Australia, is a vibrant city with plenty of exciting things to do for travelers. From exploring its scenic parks and beaches to indulging in its cultural and culinary scene, Perth has something for everyone. In this video, we’ll highlight some of the top things to do in Perth.
Nature lovers will enjoy the beautiful parks and beaches that Perth has to offer. Kings Park and Botanic Garden is a must-visit destination, offering sweeping views of the city skyline and the Swan River. The park spans over 400 hectares and features walking trails, picnic areas, and a playground for children. Another great park to explore is Yanchep National Park, home to kangaroos, koalas, and a series of caves to explore.
If you’re looking for adventure, head to Rottnest Island, located just off the coast of Perth. This car-free island is home to stunning beaches, hidden coves, and a variety of water sports activities, such as snorkeling and diving. Another great outdoor activity is hiking in the stunning Perth Hills, which offer a variety of scenic trails for all levels of fitness.
For a cultural experience, visit the Art Gallery of Western Australia, which houses a collection of over 17,000 pieces of art, including works by famous Australian artists. The Perth Cultural Centre is also worth a visit, with its array of museums, galleries, and theaters.
If you’re a foodie, Perth has a thriving culinary scene. Visit the Fremantle Markets to sample local produce, and try some of the city’s best coffee at one of the many specialty cafes around town. For a unique culinary experience, head to the Swan Valley wine region, just a short drive from the city, to sample some of Western Australia’s best wines and gourmet food.
Finally, for a bit of history, head to Fremantle, a charming port city located just south of Perth. Visit the Fremantle Prison, which was built in the 1850s and operated until 1991, to learn about the city’s convict past. The Fremantle Fishing Boat Harbour is also worth a visit, with its seafood restaurants and lively atmosphere.
Overall, Perth has something for everyone, from nature lovers and adventure seekers to culture enthusiasts and foodies. This video highlights just a few of the many things to do in this beautiful city, so start planning your Perth adventure today!

In 1933, two thirds of West Australians voted to leave the Federation, however the proposal was rejected by the British Crown who said it couldn't support it because "it wasn't in the interests of the entire population of Australia".
Emboldened by the hard border, a new secession party has formed in WA ahead of the 2021 state election.
It's not the first time there have been calls for Western Australia to leave the Federation – but is it actually possible and what would it look like?
Reporter Ben Gubana breaks down the case for secession.

Broome is located in Western Australia in one of the world's most beautiful natural places. We are making a road trip of more than a month along the west coast of Australia and have arrived at the last part. From Karijini National Park we visit Port Hedland, Cape Keraudren, 80 Mile Beach, Broome, the Willie Creek Pearl Farm and James Price Point.
Earlier you saw us drive to the southwestern tip of Australia in Margaret River and we also visited the metropolis of Perth with its beautiful skyline. We then visited Fremantle, the Pinnacles, Geraldton, the pink Hutt Lagoon, the outback in Kalbarri National Park and the World Heritage Site of Shark Bay. Even further north we camped at the Ningaloo Reef in Coral Bay and Exmouth. After this you will also see Port Headland, 80 Mile Beach, Cape Keraudren and Broome.
Follow us on this world tour, first in Australia, from Perth to Broome and then to many more beautiful destinations! We also cross over to the Philippines and Africa! We travel non-stop all year round and film everything, with a new episode every week. Also take a look at instagram @woutoftheworld or www.woutoftheworld.nl

The Role of House of Commons Education Select Committee
The Education Committee monitors the policy, administration and spending of the Department for Education and its associated arms length bodies, including Ofsted.
The Committee consists of eleven backbench Members of Parliament. The Committee's Chair is Mr Graham Stuart MP, Conservative Member of Parliament for Beverley and Holderness.
The Committee is an investigative Committee rather than a legislative Committee: it sets its own programme and chooses subjects for inquiries. For each inquiry, a press notice is issued listing the terms of reference and inviting interested parties to send written submissions. For most inquiries, the Committee will also hold question and answer "oral evidence" sessions with witnesses. These are held in public, normally in a Committee Room at the Houses of...

Who Can I Vote For?: Beverley and Holderness
The UK General Election in 2024 uses the new electoral boundaries. Only 65 of the 650 seats are staying the same. Some seats are new, while some are abolished. In these videos we look at why boundaries are changing, a summary of the new constituency including demographics and geography, how the population of the new constituency is formed from the old seats. Then we get into the politics. We present the results for each of the constituencies in 2019, then look at the trends for the main seat that is being replaced. For the main seat, we look who won, who came second, and the majority. We look at the graph of the vote share for the last 4 elections. Then we list the final list of candidates and make a prediction for the 2024 winner based on predictions using an optimistic scenario and a bad...

These are held in public, normally in a Committee Room at the Houses of Parliament. Webcasts of recent oral evidence sessions can be viewed at Parliament TV. If you would like to receive press releases from the Committee please email the Education Committee. Current inquiries, oral and written evidence, as well as Reports and publications produced by the Committee can also be found on their web pages.
The Education Committee replaced the Children, Schools and Families Committee, which was set up in July 2007, following a renaming of the Department in the wake of the 2010 General Election.

Prime Minister's Question Time, also referred to as PMQs, takes place every Wednesday the House of Commons sits. It gives MPs across the House of Commons the chance to quiz the Prime Minister. If the PM is not available, a senior member of the government may stand in.
In most cases, the session starts with a routine 'open question' from an MP about the Prime Minister's engagements. MPs can then ask supplementary questions on any subject, often one of current political significance.
The Leader of the Opposition asks six questions and the leader of the second largest opposition party asks two.
