Capital Group is one of the world’s largest investment management organizations with assets of around 1.4 trillion USD under management. It comprises a group of investment management companies, including Capital Research and Management, American Funds, Capital Bank and Trust, Capital Guardian, and Capital International. The firm was founded in 1931 by Jonathan Bell Lovelace.
The founding years
In 1931, Jonathan Bell Lovelace founded an investment firm, Lovelace, Dennis & Renfrew, which would eventually become the Capital Group Companies.
Lovelace was raised in Southern Alabama by a family who was in the timber business. He initially studied to become an architect at what was then Alabama Polytechnic (Currently Auburn University). After college, he enlisted in the military, working on a project that pioneered anti-aircraft artillery. Lovelace worked with E.E. MacCrone & Company, eventually becoming a partner. In 1929, Lovelace believed the stock market to be wildly overvalued and sold his stake in the company.
Beijing Capital International Airport(IATA: PEK,ICAO: ZBAA) is the main international airport serving Beijing. It is located 32km (20mi) northeast of Beijing's city center, in an enclave of Chaoyang District and the surroundings of that enclave in suburban Shunyi District. The airport is owned and operated by the Beijing Capital International Airport Company Limited, a state-controlled company. The airport's IATA Airport code, PEK, is based on the city's former romanized name, Peking.
Beijing Capital International Airport is the main hub for Air China, the flag carrier of the People's Republic of China, which flies to around 120 destinations (excluding cargo) from Beijing. Hainan Airlines and China Southern Airlines also use the airport as their hub.
Beijing Capital Group Co., Ltd. also known as BCG or the Capital Group, (simplified Chinese: 北京首都创业集团有限公司; pinyin: Běijīng shǒudū chuàngyè jítuán yǒuxiàn gōngsī, abbreviated 北京首创, pinyin Běijīng shǒu chuàng) is a large state-owned enterprise directly under the supervision of the State-owned Assets Supervision and Administration Commission of the Beijing Municipality (Beijing SASAC). Headquartered in Beijing, BCG has a business network covering China as well as overseas markets, five listed subsidiaries and total assets of over RMB 180 billion (USD$30 billion).
Core businesses
The Beijing Capital Group has four core businesses:
environmental protection, including water, solid waste, air pollution and environmental technology. The key water subsidiary is Beijing Capital Co., Ltd, founded in 1999 and listed in 2000 (stock code: 600008). In 2011, the Group's Capital Environment Holdings Ltd. subsidiary entered the solid waste disposal sector by acquiring the New Environmental Energy Holdings Ltd. (03989.HK) which was subsequently renamed Capital Environment Holdings Ltd.
BJ were made in two different versions, a standard version and a kou'an (port) version. China Railways DF7D, a diesel electric locomotive based on DF7B, has a similar appearance to the Beijing locomotive.
North Korea
From 2002 the Korean State Railway has received a number of BJ class locomotives second-hand from China. They are used mostly for heavy shunting and on local freight trains around P'yŏngyang. Thirty have been delivered, numbered in the 내연301 - 내연330 series (내연 = Naeyŏn, "internal combustion"); most are still painted in their original Chinese blue livery, but a few have been repainted into the standard North Korean scheme of light blue over dark green.

The Airport Express operates from 06h21 to 22h51. The fare is 25RMB, payable in cash. You can also pay using the transportation card (Yikatong). The card can be purchased at the ticket counter of the Airport Express. Here is a map of the Beijing subway: https://explorebj.com/subway/
You can also watch our video on how to use the Beijing subway: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RI896M5OdSY
There are many buses that can take you to various places in Beijing. This is the most economical mode of transportation. The list of bus lines as well as their stops, fares and schedules can be found on the official airport website: http://en.bcia.com.cn/traffic/airbus/index.shtml
Taxis are the simplest way to reach your destination in Beijing. The fare to the center of the city is about 90 to 125RMB. Taxi drivers do not speak English. You need the name of your hotel as well as the address in writing in Chinese. This can usually be found on the hotel website. Taxis in Beijing use the meter. If your driver proposes a fixed rate, get out and take another taxi. In addition to the amount shown on the meter, you may have to pay the toll. Minivans are also available for larger families.

👉 Depending on the airport you're landing into, have you considered Fast Track services through immigration? I've used them before, especially at busy airports, and it's so convenient.
See if your arrival airport had this service here: https://viator.tp.st/vEaEzEJK
👉 One thing I’ve started doing is pre-booking my airport transfer! It makes such a difference, and it's a lot cheaper than you would expect.
I usually find great prices on GetYourGuide: https://getyourguide.tp.st/YPTqAkj6
👉 Did you know a lot of airports actually allow you to purchase airport lounge passes? It’s such a nice way to start your trip or if you have a long layover.
I usually check/pre-book lounge passes here if available: https://getyourguide.tp.st/FdyYFHVz

Beijing Capital International Airport (PEK) is the main international airport serving Beijing. Beijing Capital added Terminal 3 in 2008 in time for the 2008 Summer Olympic Games, the second largest airport terminal in the world. It is also the second busiest airport in the world.
This video shows the arrival process at terminal 3. It also shows the resources than are available in the arrival area.
We also show the three transportation options to reach the city center: (1) the Airport Express which connects to the subway network; (2) buses that can take you to various places in the city (cheapest option); or (3) taxis.
