The river begins at an unnamed pond in Scugog on the Oak Ridges Moraine and heads north, passing briefly through Uxbridge before returning to Scugog. The river continues north and its valley becomes largely marshy, paralleled by the now defunct Toronto and Nipissing Railway line to Coboconk. The river passes under Ontario Highway 12/Ontario Highway 7 and enters Brock. At the community of Cannington, the river turns northwest and reaches its mouth at Lake Simcoe at the community of Beaverton.
The Beaver River is a river in the U.S. state of Rhode Island. It flows approximately 11.0 miles (17.7km). There are three dams along the river's length. The river is also famous locally for its trout fishing in the spring.
The river begins at an unnamed lake and first heads north, then southeast. It then turns northeast, and reaches its mouth at the Kapiskau River, which flows to James Bay.
Beavers build dams that are designed to endure bad weather and high waters using logs, branches and stones. Impoundments are crucial for the species as they provide ponds as protection against predators. This advantageous skill is passed on from generation to generation and the beavers of the wet grassland of Wyoming are certainly no exception to the rule.

Beaver River - Beavers in Arizona and Northern Mexico
At first glance, beavers might seem like cute rodents to some or a nuisance to others. But these industrious mammals have the capacity to solve water and climate-related issues by transforming creeks and rivers. They can act as a tool to fight drought, flooding, wildfire, extinction, and climate change. In this story, we look at beaver reintroduction efforts on the San Pedro River in Southern Arizona and Northern Sonora. Before they were trapped to extinction, there were so many beavers on the San Pedro that it was called the Beaver River. Meet the people trying to bring them back.
