Brenda Mae Tarpley (born December 11, 1944), known as Brenda Lee, is an American performer and the top-charting solo female vocalist of the 1960s. She sang rockabilly, pop and country music, and had 47 US chart hits during the 1960s, and is ranked fourth in that decade surpassed only by Elvis Presley, the Beatles and Ray Charles. She is perhaps best known in the United States for her 1960 hit "I'm Sorry", and 1958's "Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree", a United States holiday standard for more than 50 years.
At 4 ft 9 inches tall (approximately 145 cm), she received the nickname Little Miss Dynamite in 1957 after recording the song "Dynamite" and was one of the earliest pop stars to have a major contemporary international following.
Lee's popularity faded in the late 1960s as her voice matured, but she continued a successful recording career by returning to her roots as a country singer with a string of hits through the 1970s and 1980s. She is a member of the Rock and Roll, Country Music and Rockabilly Halls of Fame. She is also a Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award recipient. Brenda currently lives in Nashville, Tennessee.
Brenda Lee is the second studio album by American pop and country artist Brenda Lee. The album was released August 1, 1960 on Decca Records and was produced by Owen Bradley. The album's second single "Sweet Nothin's" became Lee's first major hit single on the Billboard Hot 100, peaking within the Top 10. This was followed by the third single "I'm Sorry" released the following year that became her first single to top the Billboard Hot 100.
Brenda Lee was prepared in four separate sessions between 1958 and 1960 all at the Bradley Film and Recording Studio. The first session took place October 19, 1958, followed by a second session on August 13, 1959, which was then proceeded by a third session March 27, 1960. The final session took place one day later on March 28, 1960. Like her previous release, the album contained twelve tracks. Two tracks were stereo remakes of her earliest singles, her cover of Hank Williams's "Jambalaya", which was Lee's first single in 1956, and her 1957 single "Dynamite". The second track entitled "Weep No More Baby" was written by John D. Loudermilk and Marijohn Wilkin. The ninth track "That's All You Gotta Do" was written by country artist Jerry Reed, which was released as the B-side to Lee's 1960 single "I'm Sorry".
Babyface or Baby Face can refer to:
"Baby Face" is a popular song. The music was written by Harry Akst, the lyrics by Benny Davis. The song was published in 1926. That same year, Jan Garber had a number one hit with the song.
Swan Districts, an Australian Rules club in the WAFL since 1934, bases its club song on this tune.
"Baby Face" was performed and recorded by many recording artists of the time, including Al Jolson. It has remained a commonly performed song.
In 1958 Little Richard peaked at #12 on the R&B chart and #41 on the pop chart with his version of the song. It was also a huge hit in the United Kingdom, peaking at #2 in January 1959.
In 1962 American singer Bobby Darin recorded a version as a single.
In 1967 a refrain was mixed with the Hallelujah chorus in Thoroughly Modern Millie.
In 1974, in the Paul McCartney and Wings special One Hand Clapping, McCartney performed the song at a piano. He later sang the song on his 2007 Secret Tour.
In late 1975, disco studio group Wing and a Prayer Fife and Drum Corps recorded a version of the song where it peaked at number two for two weeks on the disco chart. This version also went to #32 on the soul chart and #14 on the Hot 100 during the winter of 1976. In the UK Singles Chart, it peaked at #12, in February 1976, spending 7 weeks within the Top 50.
Baby Face is an American brand of baby dolls that were manufactured by Galoob in 1990-1991. They were designed by toy inventor Mel Birnkrant.
Baby Face dolls are all vinyl, 13 inches tall, chubby babies with extra joints at knees and elbows in addition to joints at hips, shoulders and neck. They are strung dolls with fixed eyes and rooted hair. The Baby Face series included 20+ dolls and more than a dozen different face molds. The dolls can be can identified by a number on the back of the neck.
They sold very well. However, due to events and politics within the toy industry, the dolls were discontinued in spite of the fact that they were a best seller. Baby Face dolls are collectable today. There are websites and collector clubs devoted to Baby Face dolls.

NPR Music is celebrating Black Music Month with an array of brand new Tiny Desk concerts. Together, these artists represent the past, present and future of Black music. This month of carefully curated shows is a celebration of Black artists expressing themselves in ways we've never seen before, and of the Tiny Desk's unique way of showcasing that talent. Nikki Birch | June 9, 2023 I was working late when Kenneth "Babyface" Edmonds first arrived at the office to rehearse for his Tiny Desk concert. Within moments, it was clear it would be an exceptional performance. The next day, my colleagues waited patiently to see the legendary singer, songwriter and producer. Because when it comes to matters of the heart, Babyface has turned our angst, our triumphs, our devastation, into timeless love s...

Oh when you come home late with hardest reason
When you kiss me like your hardest reason
Do I worry do I worry do I worry
And when the songs you sing are sad and lonely
When you sit at home forget to phone me
Do I worry do I worry do I worry
Where do you go when you're not with me
There's a look in your eyes I don't like to see
Why don't you hold me like you use to do
I got a whole lot of loving just for you
But when your loving lips don't taste the same
And when you call me someone else's name
Well do I worry do I worry yes I do
Where do you go when you're not with me....
Over you I worry over you
