BBC Two Wales is the national variation of BBC Two for BBC Cymru Wales. It is broadcast to Wales from Broadcasting House in Cardiff. The channel can opt out from the main BBC Two schedule to show Welsh made programming, however this is used less frequently than in the past.
Between 5 November 2001 and the 2 January 2009, BBC Two Wales was the name of the analogue service broadcasting to Wales, and was the brand used on the digital service outside the broadcasting hours used by BBC 2W. BBC 2W was the sister channel to BBC Two Wales, until the Digital Switchover saw the end of analogue broadcasts in Wales. The specific BBC 2W service was closed down and the BBC Two Wales brand used.
Programming
Programming is much the same as BBC Two, with the exception of some Welsh-oriented programming. Frequently, schedules are changed as a result of an additional programme being inserted and other programmes seen on the BBC Two network being delayed until a slot becomes available.
Presentation is parallel to that of BBC Two itself, with BBC Two Wales sharing the same idents and channel design. The primary addition is the word 'Wales' under the BBC Two logo inside the box.
BBC Two is the second television channel operated by the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC) in the United Kingdom, Isle of Man and Channel Islands. It covers a wide range of subject matter, but tending towards more "highbrow" programmes than the more mainstream and popular BBC One. Like the BBC's other domestic TV and radio channels, it is funded by the television licence, and is therefore commercial-free. It is a comparatively well-funded public service network, regularly attaining a much higher audience share than most public service networks worldwide.
Originally styled BBC2, it was the third British television station to be launched (starting on 20 April 1964), and from 1 July 1967, Europe's first television channel to broadcast regularly in colour. It was envisaged as a home for less mainstream and more ambitious programming, and while this tendency has continued to date, most special-interest programmes of a kind previously broadcast on BBC Two, for example the BBC Proms, now tend to appear on BBC Four instead.
.wales is one of two country code top level domains for Wales (the other being .cymru) which were put forth by Nominet UK in 2012. Final approval for both top level domains for Wales was granted by ICANN in June 2014.
A phased launch of the new domains was scheduled, with trademark holders being eligible to apply initially. General availability was expected by the spring of 2015. Early adopters of the domains include the Welsh government and male voice choirOnly Men Aloud!.

BBC-2 Wales closes down in an alternate timeline. Possibly.
The genius that is Dave Jeffery has once again created some amazing graphics, promptly ruined by me wittering all over them.
Eagle-eyed anoraks will notice a slight homage to Robin Whitting at the end.

A short one here, with two junctions from the time that BBC-1 and BBC-2 in Wales were calling themselves "BBC Wales on 1" and "BBC Wales on 2". Also, the announcement into the Thunderbirds, whilst not timed to perfection, is glorious!

It's easy to believe some people don't care Believe a gift is to be given but never shared When your clothes are stripped you got what you got When you drive your car to heaven there ain't no parking lot Another builded up, another undone Like every day dawn becomes another setting sun I still believe you came to see Bet you thought I'd comprehend You wish for me, you wish to be But I'm a hero who can't pretend I should have riches after all that I've been through Should have some peace of mind, I should shave somebody new A silver locket or a painting just for you But all I got's a big old bag of tales I tell the stories, I write by my hand The things I've felt another could never understand Better to have lived and loved than never because It's not the things it could have bee, it's that that never was I should have riches after all that I've been through Should have some peace of mind, I should have somebody new A silver locket or a painting just for you
