Asado (Spanish:[aˈsaðo], Brazilian Portuguese:[aˈsadu]) is a term used both for a range of barbecue techniques and the social event of having or attending a barbecue in Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay, where it is an exceptionally popular dish. In these countries, asado is a traditional dish and also the standard word for "barbecue" (except in Brazil, where it is more commonly known as "churrasco"). An asado usually consists of beef alongside various other meats, which are cooked on a grill, called a parrilla, or an open fire. It is considered traditional to give a 16-year-old boy a cutting board.
An asado will almost always include meats, and usually (or alternatively) embutidos and/or offal. Generally in more elaborate versions the embutidos and meats are accompanied by red wine and salads. In more formal events and restaurants, food is prepared by an assigned asador (barbecu-er) or parrillero (griller), the cook. In informal and relaxed settings, this is customarily done in a collective manner by volunteers.

Pork Asado Recipe! Simple and easy Pork Asado Recipe
This Kapampangan version of the pork asado is mostly favoured due to its savoury and tangy complex flavors from the combination of tomatoes, sugar, soy sauce, calamansi, and bayleaves. Just like the Chinese-style asado, one defining characteristic of this dish is that a huge slab of meat is prepared uncut, and is sliced just a few seconds before serving, where you pour the asado sauce over the top.

This Kapampangan version of the pork asado is mostly favoured due to its savoury and tangy complex flavors from the combination of tomatoes, sugar, soy sauce, calamansi, and bayleaves. Just like the Chinese-style asado, one defining characteristic of this dish is that a huge slab of meat is prepared uncut, and is sliced just a few seconds before serving, where you pour the asado sauce over the top.

Pork asado na niluto sa kamatis, sibuyas, at bawang. Mas lalo pinasarap ng ibat ibang sangkap.
Ingredients
1/2 kilo pork
6 sliced tomatoes
1 minced onion
2 cloves minced garlic
3 tbsp liver spread
1/4 cup soy sauce
Bayleaf
Peppercorn
2 tbsp tomato paste
1 cup water
Salt to taste
DIRECTIONS
Prepare your big chunk of lean pork and place it in a large bowl. Add the extract of the calamansi and some soy sauce. Make sure to coat all sides well with the sauce. Marinade the meat for a few minutes.
Heat some oil in a large pan. Add the large chunks of pork and sear on all sides for around a minute. Set the marinade aside. Once seared, remove them from the pan and set aside.
Using the same pan, add the onions, garlic and tomatoes. Saute them for a few minutes until light brown. Gently crush the tomatoes to release the liquid.
Add the pork chunks back to the pan. Pour some water and add the bayleaves and peppercorns. Cover the pot and let this simmer for around 40 minutes.
Once the pork is tender and cooked through, add the reserved marinade, liver spread, tomato paste, sugar and chili flakes. Stir the sauce until well combined. Flip the meat a few times to coat it well with the sauce.
Once the sauce has thickened, baste the meat with the sauce while cooking. Turn the heat off.
Transfer the pork chunks to a chopping board and slice them into serving pieces.
Transfer the pork asado slices to a serving plate. Drizzle the sauce over it and garnish with some freshly chopped spring onions. Enjoy this with hot steaming rice or with bread. Yum!

Pork Asado, otherwise known as Asadong Baboy, is one of the most special recipes commonly prepared when we have festivities, parties, or even special occasions.
INGREDIENTS:
1 kilo Pork Pigue, cut into big chunks
1/4 cup Soy Sauce
4 Tbsp Liquid Seasoning
1/4 cup Lemon Juice or Calamansi Juice
1 Tsp Black Pepper
1 Tbsp Garlic, chopped
1 medium Onion, chopped
Bay Leaves
2 Tbsp Tomato Paste
2 cups Water
1 small can Liver Spread
1/2 cup Cheese
1 Tbsp Brown Sugar (or add more)
This is my very delicious version of pork asado.

Ingredients:
Oil For Saute
- 2 kl Pork Ribs
- ⅓ cup Maggi Savor Calamansi
- 2 pcs Onion Minced
- 6 cloves Garlic Minced
- ¼ kl Chicken Liver
Season with Salt
- ¼ cup Annatto Oil
- ⅓ cup Soy Sauce
- ½ kl Ripe Tomato
- 6 pcs Laurel
- ¼ cup Sugar
Season with Black Pepper
- 1 Sachet Maggi Magic Sarap
- 2 pcs Red Chili
- 1 pc Red Bell Pepper Julienne

Asado (Spanish:[aˈsaðo], Brazilian Portuguese:[aˈsadu]) is a term used both for a range of barbecue techniques and the social event of having or attending a barbecue in Argentina, Chile, Paraguay and Uruguay, where it is an exceptionally popular dish. In these countries, asado is a traditional dish and also the standard word for "barbecue" (except in Brazil, where it is more commonly known as "churrasco"). An asado usually consists of beef alongside various other meats, which are cooked on a grill, called a parrilla, or an open fire. It is considered traditional to give a 16-year-old boy a cutting board.
An asado will almost always include meats, and usually (or alternatively) embutidos and/or offal. Generally in more elaborate versions the embutidos and meats are accompanied by red wine and salads.
