Art Davis Reel
Arthur Davis (1905-2000) was an American animator who is best known for working at Warner bros. not only as an animator, but as a director. He got his first start as an assistant to chief animator Dick Huemer at the Fleischers studio around 1922 , and then later moved to the Charles Mintz’s studio around the mid to late 20's.
Davis' animation is very energetic in terms of the character's movements and expressions.
Special thanks to Jerry Beck for some of the identifications of Art Davis.

CARTOON THEATER PRIVATE SNAFU SNAFUPERMAN created by Theodore Geisel Dr. Seuss BANNED ANIMATION
Private Snafu imagines the good times his family is having back home while he's stationed in the Arctic. Technical Fairy First Class shows that even his family is helping with the war effort - his dad building tanks, his mom planting a Victory Garden, Grandpa riveting battleships, and his girl joining the WAC's and even the family's horse is pitching in.
This is one of 26 Private SNAFU ('Situation Normal, All Fouled Up) cartoons made by the US Army Signal Corps to educate and boost the morale the troops. Originally created by Theodore Geisel (Dr. Seuss) and Phil Eastman, most of the cartoons were produced by Warner Brothers Animation Studios - employing their animators, voice actors (primarily...

(Fun Fact: Melendez even provided the voices of Snoopy and Woodstock when working on the Peanuts).
Melendez' animation is similar to Rod Scribner's (because he was Rod's assistant animator), but there's very few wrinkles shown and the way the characters move with their gestures is very elegant.
Special Thanks to Jerry Beck, Devon Baxter and Thad Komorowski for some of the identifications of Bill Melendez.
List of Cartoons presented (mostly Warner bros.):

Seuss) and Phil Eastman, most of the cartoons were produced by Warner Brothers Animation Studios - employing their animators, voice actors (primarily Mel Blanc) and Carl Stalling's music.
The belly dancer's pelvic thrust is what caused the controversy and caused it to be banned from TV broadcast in later years
