This is a list of characters from The Rose of Versailles, a shōjo manga/anime created by Riyoko Ikeda which centers on the main character, Oscar François de Jarjayes. Most of the characters are based on French historical personages, such as Marie Antoinette and Madame du Barry.

Oscar François de Jarjayes (オスカル・フランソワ・ド・ジャルジェ, Osukaru Furansowa do Jaruje) is a beautiful woman who was raised as a boy by her father. She is educated in such diverse arts as fencing. Eventually, she commands the Imperial Guard of Queen Marie Antoinette. She has no reason to pretend to be a man because most of those at Versailles know that she is a woman. Oscar falls in love with Hans Axel von Fersen, a Swedish count. But Fersen has eyes for the queen only, and treats Oscar like a friend without knowing her true feelings for him. When the revolution begins, André tells Oscar that he loves her, and she realizes that she loves him too.

Ideas (radio show)

Ideas is a long-running scholarly radio documentary show on CBC Radio One. Co-created by Phyllis Webb and William A. Young, the show premiered in 1965 under the title The Best Ideas You'll Hear Tonight. It is currently hosted by Paul Kennedy and is broadcast between 9:05 and 10:00 P.M. weekday evenings; one episode each week is repeated on Friday afternoons under the title Ideas in the Afternoon.

The show describes itself as a radio program on contemporary thought. The subject matter of the shows varies, but music, philosophy, science, religion, and especially history are common topics. The show has won many plaudits for its quality and depth.

The series is notable for soliciting programming proposals from people who are not professional broadcasters, and having the successful applicants write and host their own documentaries (aided in production by CBC staff producers). Many Ideas programs are multi-part, with two, three, four, or more fifty-five-minute programs devoted to a single topic. Transcripts and audio recordings of many programs are made available, and sold directly by the CBC.

In here, Mises describes the revolutionary meaning of capitalism in human history, and how it was responsible for the most spectacular increases in the standard of living of the common man ever. It was mass production that lead people to live longer, healthier, and happier lives. Contemporary reports from the event in which he delivered this paper suggest that the people there were uninterested in Mises's point of view, but this is much to their shame. For what he left us with remains one of the most dazzling presentations of the case for economic liberty ever written. It is the perfect combination of high intelligence, vast historical understanding, and moral passion.

It's one of the most popular games on the Google Play and iOS app stores. With it's popularity, a community was created on Reddit. The Fishdom subreddit was created following this popularity by the user Jylon10. Initially, it was filled with low-effort posts unrelated to the Fishdom game; however, it quickly became a hub for strange and disturbing content, including cryptic messages and coded posts. These often included entreaties to violence, self-destruction, and worse. Moderators, posters, and commenters frequently referenced topics like the French Revolution, Enochian script, and religion. The religious zealotry reached its peak during the Chimera Event on the Fishdom subreddit in February 2022. Posts during this event were particularly disturbing. The Reddit mystery deepened as posts were encrypted with Caeser ciphers and geographical coordinates, including requests for illicit photos to be dropped at the Acheron Reserve in Doncaster, Australia. Decryption, interpretation, and geocoordination imply that a darker mystery lies at the heart of r/Fishdom. Many subsequent posts on the subreddit flaired with CHIMERA event were disturbing. Some even included encrypted messages using a Caesar cipher and maps with coordinates. Several posts request illicit photos to be dropped at the Acheron Reserve in Doncaster, Australia. Regardless of the true purpose or meaning behind the Fishdom subreddit, it is clear that it has become a source of fascination and unease for many people. The strange and disturbing content on the subreddit has sparked a number of theories and debates. The Fishdom subreddit serves as a warning about the dark corners of the internet and the dangers that lurk there. It was mass production that lead people to live longer, healthier, and happier lives. Contemporary reports from the event in which he delivered this paper suggest that the people there were uninterested in Mises's point of view, but this is much to their shame. For what he left us with remains one of the most dazzling presentations of the case for economic liberty ever written. It is the perfect combination of high intelligence, vast historical understanding, and moral passion.
