Amen Corner - If Paradise Is Half As Nice (1969)
Amen Corner were a Welsh rock group, formed in late 1966 in Cardiff, Wales.
The band was named after The Amen Corner, a weekly disc spin at the Victoria Ballroom (later to become The Scene Club) in Cardiff, Wales, where every Sunday night Dr. Rock would play the best soul music from the United States.
Initially they specialised in a blues and jazz-oriented style, but were steered by their record labels towards a more commercial sound. Their first singles and album appeared on Decca's subsidiary label, Deram – see "Discography" below – but they left at the end of 1968 to join Immediate, where they were instantly rewarded with a No. 1, "(If Paradise Is) Half as Nice" in early 1969, followed by another Top 5 entry with the Roy Wood composition, "Hello Susie"

Amen Corner: Inside My Sin | Full Unofficial Documentary | dir. P. William Grimm
This is a documentary video I made exploring the career of British soul/pop band Amen Corner, which was active between 1966 and 1969. It was a turbulent time, both domestically and politically, but for Amen Corner it was also challenging on personal and professional levels.

Amen Corner may have been around for only a short period of time, but their sound and their style were an essential part of Swinging London; and is accessible both on a mainstream nostalgic level, but also from a cult classic, ahead-of-its-time music perspective.

After recording a final studio album, Farewell to the Real Magnificent Seven, with a cover version of the Beatles' "Get Back" released as their swansong, they disbanded at the end of 1969.[2] The band also appeared as themselves in the 1969 horror film, Scream and Scream Again, singing the film's eponymous theme song.
Whilst saxophone player Allan Jones went on to form Judas Jump, guitarist and vocalist Andy Fairweather Low led Dennis Bryon (drums), Blue Weaver (organ), Clive Taylor (bass) and Neil Jones (guitar) into a new band, Fair Weather. The band scored a UK No. 6 hit with "Natural Sinner" in 1970 and recorded one album before disbanding after Blue left to join The Strawbs a year later.
Fairweather Low went on to a successful solo career in the 1970s, notably with the Top 10 hit "Wide Eyed and Legless" (1975); he became a regular player with Eric Clapton, George Harrison and Roger Waters. Blue Weaver joined The Strawbs as Rick Wakeman's replacement and later after a successful 1974 tour with Mott the Hoople, went on to join the Bee Gees, where Dennis Bryon was now the drummer. Blue Weaver also played keyboards for many artists as a session player and later Fairlight programmer.
Amen Corner's Decca back catalogue has been re-issued as part of the "Collection" series; and their Immediate work, including their singles, live album and material recorded for an unreleased studio album, has been released on If Paradise Was Half as Nice: The Immediate Anthology.

This is a documentary video I made exploring the career of British soul/pop band Amen Corner, which was active between 1966 and 1969. It was a turbulent time, both domestically and politically, but for Amen Corner it was also challenging on personal and professional levels.

Ask me sometime about the making of this documentary, which had some of the most interesting drama to it that I have experienced making a doco, as best as I can recall.
I hope you enjoy watching this little fellow as much as I enjoyed making it.
** ERRATA ** Amen Corner drummer Dennis Bryon was inadvertently identified in the lower third template at timecode 03:08 as the keyboardist of the band, the result of an error during editing. To be clear, Dennis was Amen Corner's drummer, as mentioned elsewhere in the video. The keyboardist of the band was Blue Weaver and is identified as such elsewhere in the documentary. This has been corrected prior to the documentary's entry into any film festivals. I apologize to Dennis , Blue and the rest of the band as well as the Amen Corner fan base for this error.

Augusta National Golf Club 10 Things You NEED To Know | The Masters #PGA 2022
For any golf fan visiting #AugustaNational Golf Course it is nothing short of a pilgrimage. After all, it’s one of the best and most famous golf courses in all of history. Did you know that you require an invitation to play the Masters in Augusta? And do you know how you can become one of the members in Augusta? And where did the “green jacket tradition” come from? Stay tuned as we will cover all this and much more.
Welcome to 24GOLF, today we will take a look at Augusta National #Golf Club and the 10 things you need to know. Before getting into the list, make sure to like and subscribe to our channel.
Let's get started…
The history of the Augusta National Tournament
The most iconic golf tournament in the world occurs at the Augusta National golf club at Augusta, Georgia. Also referred to as to as Augusta or the National.
Augusta was officially opened in the year 1933, and in the subsequent year it hosted the first-ever “Augusta National Invitational" tournament.
It was soon rebranded as "The Masters" and has ever since remained so. The Masters' tournament is scheduled for the second weekend of April every year. And this tournament is known as it has its own set of traditions, magnificence, and rules.
Everything about Augusta is unique. From Magnolia Lane to the dubbed “Amen corner”. If you are new to the Masters you might be a bit puzzled. But were Augusta national's holes 11th, 12th, and 13th come together is called Amen Corner.
There is a very unique story behind the name "Amen Corner" as written by Herbert Warren Wind, a sport illustrated writer. He described how Arnold Palmer phenomenally played those holes back in 1958. Apparently, the term Amen Corner was inspired by a jazz record titled "Shouting in Amen Corner."

Hi I’m Rick Shiels, welcome to my channel RickShielsPGAGolf. This YouTube channel is designed to help you play better golf, also to help you enjoy your golf more!
I specialise in golf club reviews, golf club unboxing, golf club news, golf club head to heads, and all about golf clubs.
I also want to make you play better golf by providing coaching video on all topics about golf, how to fix your slice, fix your hook, help you drive the golf ball longer, hit your irons more pure, hit your irons closer to the hole and help you draw and fade your golf shots.
I will also help you lower your score by chipping better by stopping you duff and thin chips, pitch the ball closer and also create backspin. Also I will provide you help to putt better and hole more putts!
On this channel I also make fun and entertaining golf content based on crazy and sometimes “gimmicky” golf clubs. I like to cut through the marketing hype about products and I like to give you the honest truth about golf equipment.
If you enjoy the channel make sure you hit subscribe and also tap the notification bell so that you are always notified when I release a new video.
