Insights into the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) with Harnesh Singh, ACY Advisory
Harnesh Singh, Director at ACY Advisory, looks at the Review of the Australian Financial Complaints Authority undertaken by the Australian Government and its significant overhaul of the Australian financial services dispute resolution framework. The Consumer Action Law Centre (CALC) found that of all home lending complaints made to the Australian Financial Complaints Authority (AFCA) this year (2020) there were none that favoured the consumer.

Ironically the AFCA Act is titled:
“Treasury Laws Amendment (Putting Consumers First—Establishment of the Australian Financial Complaints Authority) Act 2018”
