SHEFFIELD UNITED vs SHEFFIELD WEDNESDAY | All Time Head to Head (1893 - 2022)
The history of the Steel City derby. Every game. Every goal. The first match between the two clubs was a draw, ending Sheffield Utd 1-1 Sheffield Wed in the 1893/94 English First Division. The most recent fixture was also a draw, finishing Sheffield Wednesday 0-0 Sheffield United in the 2018/19 championship.
Although Sheffield Wednesday are arguably the more successful club, winning 9 major honours (including 4 First Division trophies) compared to United's 4, it's the Blades who have been the best in recent years. After wo years in the Premier League from 2019-2021, including an impressive 9th-place finish, they'll be looking to get back to the big time as soon as possible.

History Of The Formation Of Liverpool Football Club.
Liverpool Football Club was founded on March 15, 1892, following a dispute between the Everton committee and John Houlding, the president of Everton. Houlding owned the ground at Anfield, where Everton played their home matches. However, a disagreement arose over rent and other issues, leading to Houlding's proposal to increase the rent.
The Everton committee rejected Houlding's proposal, and as a result, a split occurred. Houlding retained control of Anfield but needed a team to play there. He decided to form a new club, Liverpool, and applied to join the Football League. The Football League initially rejected Liverpool's application but later admitted the club after another team, Accrington Stanley, resigned.
Liverpool played their first competitive match in the Lancashire League on Sept...

FA Cup All Winners (1872-2024)
The FA Cup, officially known as The Football Association Challenge Cup, is the oldest national football competition in the world, having begun in 1871. Open to clubs across the English football league system, from the top-tier Premier League to amateur grassroots teams, it embodies the romanticism of knockout football. The tournament's inclusive nature allows for the possibility of giant-killings, where lower-league teams can defeat top-flight giants, adding to its allure and drama. Matches are typically decided in a single game, with replays for drawn fixtures up to the fourth round, enhancing the unpredictability and excitement of the competition.
The FA Cup culminates in a prestigious final held at Wembley Stadium, which is one of the highlights of the English football calendar. Winnin...

Wednesday were last in the top division in the 1999/20 season - over 20 years ago, and are now in League One after a points deduction in the 20/21 champions season.
Both sides did manage to get into the play-offs of their respective divisions last season, so we could be seeing two promotions in Sheffield come May next year.
Who's won the most games overall? Who's scored the most goals? Let me know in the comments which teams you'd like to see next.

Liverpool played their first competitive match in the Lancashire League on September 3, 1892, against Higher Walton. The club had success in its early years, winning the Second Division in 1893-94 and gaining promotion to the First Division. Liverpool secured their first top-flight title in the 1900-01 season.
Throughout the 20th century, Liverpool became one of the most successful football clubs in England. They won numerous league titles, FA Cups, and European trophies, establishing themselves as a powerhouse in English and European football. Some of their most successful eras include the 1970s and 1980s under managers Bill Shankly and Bob Paisley, and later under managers such as Kenny Dalglish.
The club's anthem, "You'll Never Walk Alone," became synonymous with Liverpool and is sung passionately by the fans before every home game. Liverpool's success and global fanbase continue to make them one of the most iconic and successful football clubs in the world.

Winning the FA Cup is a coveted achievement, offering not just a trophy but also a spot in the UEFA Europa League, providing significant incentives for teams at all levels. The competition's storied history includes memorable upsets, legendary performances, and iconic moments that have become part of English football folklore. Its ability to bring together clubs of all sizes and its tradition of producing thrilling, unpredictable matches make the FA Cup a beloved and integral part of the football season.
