Dangerous is the eighth studio album by American recording artist Michael Jackson. It was released on November 26, 1991 by Epic Records. His first album under his new contract with Sony Music, it was also Jackson's first album since 1975's Forever, Michael not to be produced by longtime collaborator Quincy Jones, who had agreed to split after the final recording sessions for Jackson's 1987 album, Bad. Dangerous has sold 32 million copies worldwide, 7 million albums were shipped in the United States alone, and has been cited as one of the best-selling albums of all time. The album produced four top ten singles on the Billboard Hot 100 including one number-one. Similar to the musician's previous material, the album's music features elements of R&B, pop and rock while also incorporating a newer genre, new jack swing, after the inclusion of producer Teddy Riley to the project in a bid to present Jackson to a younger urban audience.
Dangerous took over a year in production. Lyrical themes expressed in the album included racism, poverty, paranoia, romance, the welfare of children and the world and self-improvement, topics Jackson had covered before. Nine singles were released from Dangerous between November 1991 and December 1993, with seven singles issued in the United States, and two others released only outside the US. The two singles released outside the United States were successful, charting within the top ten and top forty respectively. Dangerous peaked at number one in nine countries, while charting at the top ten in four other territories. The only songs not released were "Why You Wanna Trip on Me", "She Drives Me Wild", "Can't Let Her Get Away", "Keep the Faith" and "Dangerous;" a video and a single release for the latter song was said to have been planned but was postponed indefinitely due to the musician's tour and later personal problems.
According to FAO statistics, the total number of commercial fishermen and fish farmers is estimated to be 38 million. Fisheries and aquaculture provide direct and indirect employment to over 500 million people in developing countries. In 2005, the worldwide per capita consumption of fish captured from wild fisheries was 14.4 kilograms, with an additional 7.4 kilograms harvested from fish farms. In addition to providing food, modern fishing is also a recreational pastime.
History
Fishing is an ancient practice that dates back to at least the beginning of the Paleolithic period about 40,000 years ago. Isotopic analysis of the skeletal remains of Tianyuan man, a 40,000-year-old modern human from eastern Asia, has shown that he regularly consumed freshwater fish.Archaeology features such as shell middens, discarded fish bones, and cave paintings show that sea foods were important for survival and consumed in significant quantities.
Fishing (or Fishing Scene) is a painting by Italian artist Annibale Carracci, painted before 1595 and given to Louis XIV by Prince Camillo Pamphili in 1665. It is currently held and exhibited at the Louvre in Paris.
History
The painting and its companion, Hunting, were included in Charles Le Brun's inventory in 1683, and in November 1695 they were in the apartments of King Louis XIV's younger brother. It was no doubt for this purpose that they were given two sumptuous gilt frames, each with attributes suited to the subject of the painting - among the finest examples of the art of frame-making in the time of Louis XIV. In 1955, when the varnish was being cleaned, the 19th century gilding covering the original gilding was removed - a task of some magnitude which was carried out by the French firm of Lebrun.
This work, together with its companion, date from Carracci's Bolognese period, before he left for Rome in 1595 to paint at the Galleria Farnese. At this time he was extremely interested in landscape, and his experiments are a foreshadowing of Poussin's classical compositions; but in these pictures he is exploring in a different direction, in the tradition of the Bassani, a family of painters whose studios continued to turn out landscapes which were prized all over Europe. His interest was the countryside. Without any religious theme as pretext, he painted two pure landscapes whose true subjects are the forest and the river, motivated by the themes of hunting and fishing. Therefore Carracci was able to show nature animated with the life of the aristocracy and of ordinary people. The composition follows the visual device of division into compartments.
Heavenly 1985 pop-dance from the exquisite Ms. Cole. Not very well known, but it was a huge dance hit...listen and you'll know why. Joyous :)

NATALIE COLE Dangerous ALBUM VERSION
This is the song that reignited my love affair with Natalie Cole that had begun nearly a decade earlier with 'This Will Be'. 'Dangerous' came to me in 1985 via an import 12 inch single - the most money i had spent on just one song! I must have seen and heard it on 'Solid Gold', as it was not a hit, but Natalie had been promoting it. and it had me hooked on the very first listen. For me high energy dance music had become very popular again, and this song came soon after Hazell Dean, Gloria Gaynor and Pointer Sisters extended versions had been on high rotation on my turntable. Indeed 'Dangerous' was penned by the same songwriter as the Pointers' comeback hit 'Jump'. It became an instant favourite of mine and is still so more than 30 years on! It shows a funky and upbeat side of Natalie's r...

It shows a funky and upbeat side of Natalie's range as a vocalist. The arrangement and production is so infectious. Shame it was not the hit that it should have been. But Natalie Cole's comeback was not far away; with the 'Jump Start' track and singles 'Pink Cadillac', 'Everlasting' (the title track to the 1987 LP) reintroducing the record buying public to her talent. The 1989 opus 'Good to be back' was prophetic and yielded the beautiful hit 'Miss you like crazy'. Her career would come full circle in 1991 with the Grammy winning 'Unforgettable'. Several more traditional pop albums and Grammys followed, as did releases in the pop, r&b and jazz genres. Natalie Cole was indeed a singer's singer - she did it all; with style and power. Long may her music and spirit shine!

This video is Remastered with new upscaling and depixelizing AI technology. The audio is the original version from the music video (which was promotional material). The album and single versions of 'Dangerous' are slightly different from the promotional music video and is actually slower in BPM. (The MV version is better in mixing and speed).
The music was originally recorded on analog equipment. Warner Music have attempted to preserve, as closely as possible, the sound of the original recording. Because of its high resolution, however, the music + video can reveal limitations of the source tape.
Our goal at 'The 80's Dream' is to always retain the original analog music video's feel and look, while providing a modern maximum viewing quality for larger screens (40" or greater!).
