So I've been testing a bunch of meal services. And now it's time for factor 75, which I've actually been using for a few weeks at this point. Now factor is truly an impressive service. The food tastes absolutely amazing. They use healthy ingredients and cater to a bunch of diets. And even though the customer service isn't exactly perfect, it still gets the job done. So throughout this video, I'll be talking about the taste of the food, the quality of the ingredients, supported diets, pricing, and ultimately what makes factor particularly unique compared to other similar services. I'll also be talking about the issues I have with the service. And of course, my personal recommendation from having used it for a few weeks at this point. Okay, now when it comes to preparing the meals, all you need to do is heat them up by piercing the plastic film and putting them in the microwave on high for about two to three minutes or remove the film completely and put it in the oven for five minutes or so. Which is what I'd recommend if you have a few extra minutes to do so for more even heating. Just make sure you remove sauce containers from meals that have them before heating up since those are not heat friendly. Now admittedly, it wasn't as flavorful compared to the other two, but a super solid dish overall. Now lastly, I have the black pepper and sage porkchop. And to put it simply, I loved everything about this dish. I mean, I've had amazing pork chops before. And you could say that nothing really compares to chops fresh off the grill or pan. But these chops are actually close seconds to some of the best jobs I've had. They were super tender and juicy with a nice char to them. And the brussel sprouts and broccoli were just the cherry on top. I actually really like this dish, I would say it's easily a nine out of 10. Okay, so the food is great. How does this all work? Well, it's super easy. You start by signing up on the website or mobile app, though if you end up trying factor out I'd recommend doing so on the website using the link below for a nice discount on your first order. The minimum weekly requirement is six meals but you can actually still lower that to four meals once you're signed up, which I'll talk a little more about later. Now with regards to customer service, one area of potential concern is while the live chat and phone support agents are very friendly, and they do their best to help, during my interactions, both via chat and phone, it was clear to me that I was speaking with non native English speakers, which just caused me to rephrase some of my questions in a simpler way. It's a minor inconvenience, and it's just something I noticed. And honestly, as long as the food is great, I'm happy, but I thought it's just worth pointing out. But in case any of your meals arrived in bad condition, maybe it's above the recommended temperature that keeps it fresh, or it's just not well packaged, you can reach out to factor via email, live chat, or just by calling them within five days of getting your meal box. So factor really hit a home run here, especially when it comes to the quality and taste. And while there are other services that deliver pre-cooked meals, none have matched the taste or the post-meal satisfaction of experienced with factor and so if you're looking to have high quality, tasty, ready to eat meals that you can eat with minimal effort, then Factor is well worth the price and I highly recommend it. So that'll be it for this video. Again, if you guys are interested in factor you'll find a great discount in the description down below. And if you've enjoyed this video or learn something, feel free to like and subscribe. It helps me out a lot and comment below if you have any questions. I'll be happy to answer all of them. Besides that, thank you very much for watching and I'll see you in the next one.

Factor: an extensible interactive language
Google Tech Talks
October 27, 2008
ABSTRACT
Factor is a general-purpose programming language which has been in development for a little over five years and is influenced by Forth, Lisp, and Smalltalk. Factor takes the best ideas from Forth -- simplicity, succinct code, emphasis on interactive testing, meta-programming -- and brings modern high-level language features such as garbage collection, object orientation, and functional programming familiar to users of languages such as Python and JavaScript. Recognizing that no programming language is an island, Factor is portable, ships with a full-featured standard library, deploys stand-alone binaries, and interoperates with C and Objective-C.
In this talk, I will give the rationale for Factor's creation, present an overview of the language...

"Concatenative programming and stack-based languages" by Douglas Creager
In this talk we’ll explore stack-based programming languages, in which your program operates directly (and only!) on a stack of values. It might seem daunting at first to program without variable names, but the simplicity of stack-based languages makes them interesting to reason about mathematically, and also fun to tinker with! We’ll look at how stack-based languages are concatenative, letting you break apart your program into arbitrary pieces without affecting its meaning. We’ll compare them with combinatory logic, and see how small we can make our language while still being Turing-complete. And we’ll show how they make good low-level (but still readable!) assembly languages, by examining a Uxn program and running it on a variety of interesting hardware.

Making a game in Factor (stack-based) - Games with Unusual Programming Languages #5
Hello everyone! In this video I show how I made a simple game using a different kind of language called Factor, which is a concatenative, stack-based programming language.
The difference lies in the fact that, instead of applying functions to arguments (like in most modern languages), you compose functions on a single piece of data called "stack"

Recognizing that no programming language is an island, Factor is portable, ships with a full-featured standard library, deploys stand-alone binaries, and interoperates with C and Objective-C.
In this talk, I will give the rationale for Factor's creation, present an overview of the language, and show how Factor can be used to solve real-world problems with a minimum of fuss. At the same time, I will emphasize Factor's extensible syntax, meta-programming and reflection capabilities, and show that these features, which are unheard of in the world of mainstream programming languages, make programs easier to write, more robust, and fun.
Speaker: Slava Pestov
Slava was born in the former USSR and emigrated to New Zealand at the age of 7. He moved to Ottawa, Canada when he was 18 to study for a Bachelors and Masters degree in Mathematics. He now resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota. An early adopter of Java, Slava wrote the popular jEdit text editor, then went on to design and implement the Factor programming language. At his day job he hacks on web apps, optimizing compilers, garbage collectors, and everything in between.

TRANSCRIPT:
Question: What are the five most important languages that programmers should know?
Bjarne Stroustrup: First of all, nobody should call themselves a professional if they only knew one language. And five is a good number for languages to know reasonably well. And then you’ll know a bunch, just because you’re interested because you’ve read about them because you’ve wrote a couple of little programs like [...]. But five isn’t a bad number. Some of them book between three and seven.
Let’s see, well my list is going to be sort of uninteresting because it’s going to be the list of languages that are best known and useful, I’m afraid. Let’s see, C++, of course; Java; maybe Python for mainline work... And if you know those, you can’t help know sort of a little bit about Ruby and JavaScript, you can’t help knowing C because that’s what fills out the domain and of course C-Sharp. But again, these languages create a cluster so that if you knew either five of the ones that I said, you would actually know the others. I haven’t cheated with the numbers. I rounded out a design space.
It would be nice beyond that to know something quite weird outside it just to have an experience, pick one of the functional languages, for instance, that’s good to keep your head spinning a bit when it needs to. I don’t have any favorites in that field. There’s enough of them. And, I don’t know, if you’re interested in high-performance numerical computation, you have to look at one of the languages there, but for most people that’s just esoteric.

I’ve been thinking about, and using, programming languages for a very long time. By day, I manage GitHub’s Semantic Code team, figuring out how to understand and analyze ~every programming language under the sun. By night, I balance family life with hacking on my own language, like any good PL enthusiast would!

Hello everyone! In this video I show how I made a simple game using a different kind of language called Factor, which is a concatenative, stack-based programming language.
The difference lies in the fact that, instead of applying functions to arguments (like in most modern languages), you compose functions on a single piece of data called "stack"

03:50 Combinators
05:39 Creating a word (function)
06:51 Lexical variables (locals)
09:39 The game's code (main file)

Channel S Television (Sky 777) the UK based Bangla Language Television Channel available in Europe. It is a powerful electronic media paltform that gives Bangladeshi audience a voice in the UK and across the world. The journey began in July 2004, when a group of undiscovered talents took the challenge of broadcasting the television channel to the mainstream standard using the latest state of the art technology. Channel S Television was voted the most popular Bengali Channel outside of Bangladesh in 2006.
Channel S Television is the fastest growing free-to-view Asian television channel in the UK. Our programming is targeted not just towards British Bangladeshis but also to the UK Asians as a whole. As such, programmes are bilingual in English and Bengali (including Sylheti dialect) and cover themes of interest for all UK Asians. Targeting the first, second and third generation providing mainstream theme productions covering music, sports, news, current affairs, entertainment and religion that are essentially British but with a UK Asian outlook, that mainstream media does not provide.
