Help removing a "lacks inline citations" disclaimer, after improving inline citations
Hi,
I'm editing a page (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Business_development_asia) that was not formatted correctly (lacked inline citations and just had a list of references at the bottom of the article). I cleaned this page up, and now that the issue has been addressed, would like the wikipedia disclaimer at the top of the page to be removed. How can I do so?
Thanks,

The article on the U.S. 5th Infantry Division has an incorrect statement. It says the division was the first allied unit to cross the Rhine on 22 March, 1945. The Wikipedia article on the bridge at Remagen states the 9th Armored Division captured and crossed the bridge on the Rhine on 7 March, 1945 two weeks before the 5th crossed at Oppenheim. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.112.166.178 (talk) 13:07, 1 November 2012 (UTC)
Introduction to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre: JPMC is a Federal Government Post Graduate Medical Centre. It had humble beginning in 1939as a Royal Air Force Base Hospital, and now it is a tertiary care & teaching state of the arthospital. The JPMC has the legacy of hard work, dedication and determination traceable to the pre-partition times when a small 80 bed hospital was built in the outskirts of the city. In 1942 thehospital was taken over by the Royal Air Force to provide health care facilities to the armedforces in Karachi dining the Second World. In January 1948 the Pakistan Central Hospital, as it was then called, invited the Father of the Nation. Following that it was named as Jinnah Central Hospital with a pledged to the Father of the Nation to provide health care to every citizen of the country irrespective of cast and creed.Let me unequivocally say that Jinnah Central Hospital was the First institution in the entirecountry named after the Father of the Nation. During following yeses several special care unitswere evolved including Cardiovascular, Pediatrics, College of Nursing and School of physiotherapy. However a significant milestone was laid when Indiana University established”BASIC MEDICAL SCIENCES INSTITUTE” (BMSI) in late 50s EMSI Provided PostgraduateUniversity training in Basic Medical subjects where talented students of this institute wereawarded M. Phil degree by the Karachi University and scholarship for Ph.D at IndianaUniversity. With the start of BMSI, Jinnah Central Hospital was upgraded to Jinnah Postgraduate MedicalCentre. In 1964 College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP) was started with efforts of late General WAK Burke. Professors of BMSJ at JPMC provided teaching and training of CPSPfellows in all basic medical sciences subjects.Presently have the hospital 1185 bed strength 28 clinical Departments and 17 non - clinicaldepartments teaching school for Nurses, Para medical Physiotherapy Occupational Therapy et — Preceding unsigned comment added by 27.253.114.133 (talk) 13:04, 7 November 2012 (UTC)
Information cited under the heading of "muzzle energy" may need checking
The information listed in the article concerning calculating muzzle energy May be in need of some correction, or at least fact checking. The article uses an example of a 357 magnum load using a 180 grain projectile and creating an energy of 580 foot-pounds. The article next dates that a 357 magnum using a 110 grain projectile might only create a muzzle energy of 410 foot-pounds. More than likely the figures derived should be transposed. The lighter round of 110 grains will fire at a much increased muzzle velocity of over 1450 ft./s, thereby creating a higher muzzle energy than the 180 grain round, which typically accelerates to less than 1100 ft./s. Even though the 180 grain projectile is heavier, because of it's slower speed it creates less energy then the lighter quicker projectile.

The escutcheon, or shield, at the right of the page is incorrect. I copy the exact description from the EXTRACT OF MATRICULATION of the Arms of THE EARL OF ROTHES, James Malcolm David Leslie's father:
Quarterly; 1st and 4th, Argent on a bend Azure three buckles Or (for Leslie); 2nd and 3rd, Or, a lion rampant Gules surmounted of a ribbon Sable (for Abernethy)
Therefore, the top right and bottom left quarters are correct, but the top left and bottom right quarters should have blue "strips" with gold buckles.
Also, for reference for your readers, there are a great many griffins colored a horrible green out there purporting to be associated with Clan Leslie. A griffin's color is 'proper', meaning the way it really is in nature. Now, griffins don't exist. But these mythological beasts are part eagle, part lion, both of which--in real life--are brown, not green. In the case of the Clan Leslie griffin, the color is described as 'proper' (brown), with arms, wings and beaks 'Or' (gold).

The spirituality section of the Ojibwe Wikipedia page needs to be corrected. Is this the appropriate place to request this? Some comments in CAPS below.
The Ojibwe have a number of spiritual beliefs passed down by oral tradition (SURE, AND NOW OVER THE INTERNET TOO) Pictorial notation of an Ojibwe music board.under the Midewiwin teachings. These include a creation story and a recounting of the origins of ceremonies and rituals. Spiritual beliefs and rituals were very important to the Ojibwe because spirits guided them through life.STILL DO Birch bark scrolls and petroforms were used to pass along knowledge and information, as well as for ceremonies. Pictographs were also used for ceremonies.
The sweatlodge is still used during important ceremonies about the four directions, when oral history is recounted.HUH? A SWEATLODGE IS NOT A TEACHING CEREMONY, AND IT IS MOSTLY DONE IN SILENCE SO I DO NOT UNDERSTAND THIS. YES, THE FOUR DIRECTIONS ARE INVOLVED ALTHOUGH NOT ORALLY, MOSTLY THROUGH SILENT PRAYER, AND I HAVE NEVER SEEN ANY ORAL HISTORY RECOUNTED IN A SWEATLODGE CEREMONY Teaching lodges are common today to teach the next generations about the language and ancient ways of the past.MAYBE ALTHOUGH I HAVE NEVER SEEN ONE ALTHOUGH I SUPPOSE THIS IS POSSIBLE. I WOULD THINK THIS MIGHT BE A TEACHING CIRCLE? ALSO THERE ARE MANY OTHER ASPECTS OF THEIR SPIRITUALITY NOT MENTIONED The traditional ways, ideas, and teachings are preserved and practiced in such living ceremonies. The Ojbwe crafted the dreamcatcher. They believe that if one is hung above the head of a sleeper, it will catch and trap bad dreams, preventing them from reaching the dreamer. Traditional Ojibwe use dreamcatchers only for children, as they believe that adults should be able to interpret their dreams, good or bad and use them in their lives. "Student-centred learning" topic
I recognize that "centred" must be the British spelling, so the heading is not "misspelled." If Wikipedia chooses to go with the British spelling that's OK, and I was mistaken when I called it a misspelling. However the text of the article uses the -RED spelling 45 times and uses the -ERED spelling 10 times, without explanation of the difference, as far as I noticed. Perhaps this ambiguity is simply an acceptable part of a global resource but it might cause confusion for some, ass it did for me. Thank you.

611th Air Support Group, Elmendorf Alaska.
The 611ASG had, at one time 2 organizations directly reporting to it. On ewas the 611th Air Support Squadron, who were tasked by congress to run all the radar sites in Alaska once the military were removed and replaced by BOSS(Base Operated Site Support) multi-taked civilians who were contracted, and paid directly by Congress to maintain these sites. The ASG Commander at that time, Colonel Samuel Johnson III, a past staffer for Senator Ted Stevens, began pulling funds out of the contract to keep the 611 Civil Engineer Operations Squadron (under his command) alive. This misappropriation of federal Funds for 200 personnel reduced the effectiveness of the contracts and was a violation of Federal Law. The 611 CEOS was to have been stood down when the contracts were enforced as all the functions were now being done by ther BOSS. To this day the 611CEOS performs tasks it has not been paid for by congress through misappropriation. Note this personal exchange between myself and the then Commander of the 611ASG. "If we stand down the 611CEOS the 3 Star General of Elmendorf losses enough bodies to be reduced to a 2 star. BACKLOG OF THE WEEK Category:Pages with broken reference names
Hello - some editors fight off the vandal hordes, as I do repairing pages with citation errors. If I didn't - there would be a large backlog in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting and in Category:Pages with missing references list as in Category:Pages with broken reference names (more than 1500 yesterday). But it is impossible to work it alone. Do you know how to do a "Blitz" (excuse the comparision) to find willing editors to work on it. It is much more easier to repair references if you do it one hour, one day or one week ago after the errors were made instead of months and years after the error was done. Very, very difficult to find these errors.
Only with WikiBlame Search it is possible to find and repair such errors.

Designer of the Fender Lace pickups "system".
Greetings. My name is Larry Boydston, guitar and amp player/repair/modder. In the article concerning the Fender Lace Sensor pickup design, the credit for designing the pickup is given Don Lace. Actodyne is the company formed to market the design. There has been an in justice here, as the patent holder for the design of the pickup is William Villex(a.k.a. Villen Kahnagov). The patents can be viewed at www.google.com/patents/US5767431 and www.google.com/patents/US5831196. The name on the patents is Villen Kahnagov. I am a customer of Villen's company Electrovillex, and have become good friends during an email correspondence covering 4 months, and close to 50 email cycles. The designer was an Armenian refuge, who came to this country with wife, child, and $300.00 in his pocket. He worked at jobs far below the level of an electronics engineer, until being hired by Fender. He does not blame Fender for his not having made much financial gain from the Lace Sensor design. Lace was responsible for the contract, and being rather nieve as to how business works here in the U.S., Villen had no legal representation. He thought that Lace would treat him fairly. The contract signed had no minimum monthly payment clause in it, and therefore Villen has not been compensated as he originally thought he would be.The patents are due to run out in 2015. He is disappointed, not only in this, but in the way that Lace/Actodyne marketed the design. Check the patents. While I am trying to help Villen WITHOUT monetary compensation, to get more recognition of his current designs, this has not been easy. However, at least we can set the record straight on Wiki. also note that he probably would prefer to be mentioned by his adopted name : William Villex. Hios Electrovillex website is www.villex.com. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 138.210.246.199 (talk) 00:05, 15 January 2014 (UTC)

Comment on the WikiProject X proposal
Hello there! As you may already know, most WikiProjects here on Wikipedia struggle to stay active after they've been founded. I believe there is a lot of potential for WikiProjects to facilitate collaboration across subject areas, so I have submitted a grant proposal with the Wikimedia Foundation for the "WikiProject X" project. WikiProject X will study what makes WikiProjects succeed in retaining editors and then design a prototype WikiProject system that will recruit contributors to WikiProjects and help them run effectively. Please review the proposal here and leave feedback. If you have any questions, you can ask on the proposal page or leave a message on my talk page. Thank you for your time! Hello everyone!
You may have received a message from me earlier asking you to comment on my WikiProject X proposal. The good news is that WikiProject X is now live! In our first phase, we are focusing on research. At this time, we are looking for people to share their experiences with WikiProjects: good, bad, or neutral. We are also looking for WikiProjects that may be interested in trying out new tools and layouts that will make participating easier and projects easier to maintain. If you or your WikiProject are interested, check us out! Note that this is an opt-in program; no WikiProject will be required to change anything against its wishes. Please let me know if you have any questions. Thank you!
Note: To receive additional notifications about WikiProject X on this talk page, please add this page to Wikipedia:WikiProject X/Newsletter. Otherwise, this will be the last notification sent about WikiProject X.

Were Galleywood Earthworks dug by the 83rd Foot Regiment? mid 1790's-1801 Time-Frame.
I have been trying to find verifiable information about who were the body of men responsible for digging the Galleywood Earthworks (which were anti-Napoleonic defences, with Star Batteries, etc). Last year I looked on Wikipedia and it said that the 83rd Foot from Dublin, recruited by Major William Fitch, were an
Anti-Napoleonic force/regiment.
This fact made them the likely candidates for digging the Galleywood earthworks, according to my research; however this data was later changed by persons unknown to remove the anti-Napoleonic reference. The site was further amended to include the 134th (Loyal Limerick) Regiment of Foot, which were said to be attached to the 83rd Foot Regiment; so it would be reasonable to conclude that they were an additional force in the anti-Napoleonic "push."
Today I looked up the 134th (Loyal Limerick) Regiment of Foot was founded in 1794 and disbanded in 1796. Although this is shown as having been amended about 6 months ago, this information was definately not there in December 2014, as it stands.
Somebody's lying somewhere! Could anyone shed any light on the movements of the 83rd Foot and were they stationed in the Chelmsford area in the time-frame of mid-1790's - 1801?
Would be good to know! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Poplar Kitten (talk • contribs) 19:42, 10 February 2015 (UTC)

popping up on it's page, can someone please tell me how to finally fix this problem as I am new to wikipedia and need some helpful and friendly assistance, can someone please help guide me exactly what I need to do and how I go about fixing it once and for all as I can't spend forever sorting out a simple upload page like this as I have a busy schedule outside of the internet sphere, thank you :) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.255.234.3 (talk) 13:24, 9 May 2015 (UTC)
Correction
Hello, Would you please make a correction to the article on Donald Keats. He studied with Henry Cowell at Columbia, but not at Yale. Thank you! (I got this information directly from Donald Keats. specifically: "In reading the article I noticed there's one mistake: I studied with Henry Cowell at Columbia, not Yale.") 64.7.71.34 (talk) 04:44, 10 May 2015 (UTC)Michael Fox
Pio Pico
My family was friends with Pio Pico's daughter. They lived next door to us in Downey & they were very close to Pio Pico's granddaughter & her family. I noticed that no children or grandchildren were in the history. I think the reason they were not was because his daughter divorced her first husband & Pio disowned her along with the catholic church at that time. His granddaughter was not mentioned due to the fact that he disowned his daughter so he also disowned his granddaughter & any children from her. Growing up my parents had a trunk that was Pio's. When the museum was built my parents took the truck & the contents in it to be displayed in the museum. His granddaughter & her family came to the opening of the museum in the 1970's. His daughter's last name was Sexton but I called her Nana. His granddaughter's name was Betty Horton. It's interesting that Pio Pico & the catholic church would throw her out & cut her out. But in those days they ruled & you did as you were told & if you didn't they would make sure you never even alive.

Most cited domains
Hello. As part of the work on VisualEditor, I looked into the most cited domains to see if those sites were well supported by citoid, the tool used by VisualEditor to automatically fill citation templates. You can see the result at Wikipedia:WikiProject Fact and Reference Check/Most cited domains; feel free to move the page elsewhere if appropriate. Guillaume (WMF) (talk) 20:45, 29 May 2015 (UTC)
FIRST MARYLAND REGIMENT
The name of the Commanding Officer of the First Maryland Regiment during the American Revolution is incorrect. The Colonel commanding that regiment was my ancestor, Henry Gaither. This fact is supported by the Muster Roll Project of the Friends of Valley Forge Park. That group independently verified that Henry Gaither served at Valley Forge and was the commanding officer of the First Maryland Regiment. How does one get this error corrected? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:9:7D80:765:90A8:F5B0:97F7:3D36 (talk) 13:00, 31 May 2015 (UTC)
Main propulsion on USS grant county LST 1174
As a former crew member who worked in the propulsion plant in Main Engine Control I am questioning the information about the main propulsion engines as listed. The Main Engines I worked on in the engine rooms were not Nordberg engines. They were in fact Fairbanks Morse 38 d 81/8 opposed piston engines. Also as I remember there was no controlled pitch propellers. The engines were connected to the reduction gears via pneumatic clutches and shaft/propeller rpm was controlled by the speed of the engines. Thank you John J. Denton USN(RET.) If you have any information or questions please contact me at [email protected] or by phone at 309 558 0002 thank you
As a reference I use the fact I worked on the ship for almost three years in the main propulsion plant. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 173.31.215.204 (talk) 00:45, 2 June 2015 (UTC)
Pronunciation of "Afrikaans" - need a reference check
Hello. One of the editors is vandalising the article by removing a pronunciation variant listed by both sources. He keeps lying that this variant is unsourced, which is not true. The details can be found here. Peter238 (talk) 01:35, 2 July 2015 (UTC)

Please change 'Fearing libel suits in his own lifetime, it would have been foolhardy for Beaton to have included some of his more frank and incisive observations.' to 'Fearing libel suits in his own lifetime as well as public discontent at devious and sometimes illegal sexual practices, it would have been foolhardy for Beaton to have included some of his more frank and incisive observations.' because it is common knowledge and likely in the current context that Beaton's dark side will come to the front. It gives a more balanced image of who Beaton really was. 217.174.210.17 (talk) 11:10, 16 September 2015 (UTC)

The major issue for calendrical split is not the Julian calendar per se, but the Ecclesiastical (Paschal) calendar that is closely associated with it. The best description of the Paschal calendar was made by Otto Neugabauer (1979) who found support for its use by the Alexandrian Church in the fourth century Ethiopic sources. (ref. 1). Neugebauer argued, the Paschal calendar was a copy of the lunar calendar of the Alexandrian Jewish community. This idea was extended by Ari Belenkiy (2010) who deciphered a similar calendar (known in rabbinical sources as the "Theory of Others") in the Palestinian Jewish community of the second century and traced it to 104 BC. (Ref. 2) A new conjecture is that it originates from the time of Canopus Decree (238 BC).

Reference links to web page without the cited information
Hello, I am a relatively new Wikipedia editor and found a situation I don't know the protocol for.... in the article: List of unproven and disproven cancer treatments there is a reference about Apitherapy [1] that says it's a statement from the American Cancer Society. However, when following the link, the quote cited does not exist, nor can I find it at any of the sites linked on the page the reference goes to. I also searched to see if I could find another valid reference for the quote and I cannot. What is the protocol? Remove the statement? Remove the link? Note that the statement is unreferenced/unverified? Thank you in advance for your help.AskJoanne (talk) 13:43, 4 November 2015 (UTC)

Fenton Johnson biography
Greetings, Wikipedians,
The entry for Fenton Johnson, writer, is mostly accurate. However, please note that, however improbable, there are TWO 20th century writers named Fenton Johnson. You're hearing from John Fenton Johnson, born 1953, still very much alive; but I publish under Fenton Johnson, since Fenton is the name I use. But in the entry for me you include books and a link to the African American poet Fenton Johnson (1888-1958). His books should be easy enough to identify -- for certain his photographs are easy to identify -- and he's a poet (which I'm not). My books are, in order of publication, Crossing the River; Scissors, Paper, Rock; Geography of the Heart: A Memoir; Keeping Faith: A Skeptic's Journey Among Christian and Buddhist Monks; and The Man Who Loved Birds. Two more books are forthcoming: Notes of an Emigrant Son: New and Selected Essays (2017) and Going It Alone: The Challenge and Dignity of Solitude (2018).
Many thanks for your work.

The article on the racehorse "Shergar" (owned by Agha Khan), that was stolen in Ireland in 1983 ...
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Shergar
... there is a hypertext reference to a "racing associate" in Ireland named Sean Berry:
"The vet then called a racing associate, Sean Berry, who in turn called..."
Clicking this link, however, produces only an American baseball player named Sean Berry, who would have only been age 17 at the time of the incident.

Louis Philippe Travels In America 1796 thru 1800 Teaching French In Boston
The American Heritage Magazine Vol XX No. 3 April 1969 has an extensive and fascinating article on the travels of the future King Philippe of France. The Wilkipedia notes say that he taught French while in Boston. I think this is incorrect. The author of the AH article, Morris Bishop, specifically writes of Louis Philippe's time in Boston: "Do not believe it's story that Louis Philippe set up as a teacher of French; he was well in funds, and anyway he was not in Boston for more than a week." — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2001:5B0:2562:1FD8:6840:8B35:47BB:DA98 (talk) 13:51, 19 April 2016 (UTC)
Error on Wikipedia page for Zoroastrianism
The page states "...Ascribed to the teachings of the Iranian Prophet Zoroaster..."
Zoroaster was not Iranian - he was Persian.
Zoroaster lived 628 to 521 B.C.
Iran is the name of an Islamic republic which was founded in 1979 A.D.
Zoroaster could not be Iranian - he was Persian.

Artist: Solomon Alexander Hart painting not listed
Hello, Wikipedia Art Specialists I looked up Solomon Alexander Hart and see that one of his lesser known paintings is not listed. It has been in private hands for many years.
It is a very large, dark portrait of an elderly , bearded gentleman, who looks like a rabbi ( I suspect it resembles his father.)
It's title is "The Alchemist". It was bequeathed to me from my mother after she died. She bought it at an auction at the old Firestone or Goldwyn Estate ( am not sure which one), I believe in the early 1960's in Miami Beach. It has been authenticated and is quite moving to view. It is dark and needs a gallery light similar to the dark Rembrandt portraits with very few little light colors. As an owner of the painting, I contacted The Tate Gallery and they were kind enough to allow me to view their painting of "Moses on the Mount", which was not on display at the time of my visit to England. My parents were fortunate to view a painting of his at Windsor Castle in the Queen's private collection ( pre-fire) years ago, but I do not know much about that one, or if it survived the fire, to be honest. I should like this painting to be listed in his Wikipedia biography if that is acceptable to you. I will send documentation if you like. It is not for sale and will be given to my son at he time of my demise. ( I tell you this as I am not asking for the listing to try to bring attention to its value for a future sale.) Please let me know at your convenience. Respectfully ALM — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bestofalltherest (talk • contribs) 16:19, 30 April 2017 (UTC)
Mark as inactive?
This project seems really dead, which isn't a huge surprise. There are contributors who are interested in France, or in movies, or in record players, but very few contributors who just want to reference completely random articles. Editors want to maintain articles about their favoered topic(s), whether referencing them, adding new ones, moving them to featured status, whatever, so stuff like WikiProject France is going to be more useful and more active than Fact & Reference Check's catch-all. Should we just mark this as inactive and have a big link to the normal Wikipedia cleanup pages instead?
(This is from a normal Wikipedian, I'm doing this from a new account just in case someone is horribly offended.) BloomingBarnyard (talk) 06:02, 3 July 2017 (UTC)
Video Poetry
Could someone check the entry at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_poetry as to why Mrigankasekhar Ganguly was included; there are thousands of artists and poets practicing and producing this visual form of poetry. To have produced his first poetry film in 2010 holds no significance to the genre. And why is in bold font? 2001:569:7B82:6C00:35CD:8B9D:6616:BD18 (talk) 23:31, 22 March 2018 (UTC)

Under History - 5th Paragraph - 2Lt Clyde H. Wilson, my father in law, passed away in 1986. He was the pilot in question that was shot down over Spain when the 347th Fighter Group moved planes from Britain to Morocco. Clyde's version of the story is as follows: "shortly after he passed into Spain he was engaged by a Ju-88 and severely damaged. He crash landed in Spain and was hidden by the locals farmers. He was smuggled out of Spain by the underground over a period of a couple of weeks and ultimately rejoined the 347th in North Africa."
Also you used the word "interned" several times in this paragraph when you should have used "interred".
