The 2 USFLs

I don't have ideas on how to handle this (merge, dabs, hatnotes, etc), so I figured I'd park this here for those interested.

There's USFL championship game and USFL Most Valuable Player Award, but these both deal with the later USFL, not the 1980s USFL.

However, the 1st USFL is handled at United States Football League § League MVP awards and United States Football League § Championship games —Bagumba (talk) 07:35, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Unless someone splits out the MVP and championship game for the original USFL, it would probably be better to merge the later USFL's MVP and championship game articles into the main league article. USFL championship game and USFL Most Valuable Player Award can then both be converted into dab pages that point to the different sections of the merged articles. ~WikiOriginal-9~ (talk) 17:02, 2 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]

Wondering if there are guidelines for the use of either set of templates (pre-2000 game recaps vs something newer?). If a page uses one style exclusively, then additions I make will employ that style. Thoughts? DarkStarHarry (talk) 16:32, 8 January 2025 (UTC)[reply]
