Wikipedia:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Radio
Points of interest related to Radio on Wikipedia: History – Portal – Category – WikiProject – Alerts – Deletions – Cleanup – Stubs – Assessment – To-do |
This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to Radio. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.
- Adding a new AfD discussion
- Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:
- Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
- You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Radio|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.
- There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.
- Removing a closed AfD discussion
- Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.
- Other types of discussions
- You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Radio. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.
- Further information
- For further information see Wikipedia's deletion policy and WP:AfD for general information about Articles for Deletion, including a list of article deletions sorted by day of nomination.

- RadioToday is independent, as are the non-tabloid news websites cited. Companies employing Hayes aren't "dependent" on Hayes and so, in a way, are independent.

Non-notable radio station. TheTechie@enwiki (she/they | talk) 04:29, 3 January 2025 (UTC)
- Revert to redirect to KMUN: it is mentioned there, and the redirect was present for 17 years before being overwritten by the type of substandard stub article that I thought the 2021 RfC that corrected the inclusion standards in this topic area was supposed to eventually eradicate. The edit summary suggests there may be more to say about KCPB-FM than is currently mentioned at KMUN (and that article has more material about KCPB than its own stub!), but until and unless such material is added (or at least sources presented) a redirect as an alternative to deletion is all we need. - The reason this was split out, Wcquidditch, was as part of tackling a group of at one point 85 articles that were trying to do too much in one infobox. (To be more precise, they contained information on multiple technical facilities in such a way that they spit out a CS1 error URL. This is now why {{Infobox radio station dual}} exists.) At the time, I was eyeing an expansion of KMUN, which looked startlingly flimsy and for which I could turn up a lot of sourcing. (This exercise directly resulted in a 5x of KMUN and an overhaul of Texas Public Radio) I would not object to merging back in with a second infobox for KCPB-FM, particularly because this is very much a secondary service to KMUN. - DELETE — Article fails WP:GNG. While the subject is described as a bestselling author and entrepreneur, the references primarily consist of self-published materials (Goodreads) or promotional sources (espeakers.com) and press releases (Agility PR Solutions Newsroom). None of the cited sources provide in-depth, independent analysis of the subject's life or work.
- Claims of “bestselling” status lack verification from independent and reliable sources and appear to rely on press releases, see: WP:RS. Subject also fails Wikipedia:AUTHOR. Nyxion303💬 Talk 18:38, 30 December 2024 (UTC)

After observing the article being too promotional (still is), I moved the it back to draft space hoping for improvement that would follow a regular review at AFC but the original editor moved it back direct to the mainspace also nowhere in the references show subject's (important claims) like date of birth or number of children they have, where did the editor get them? That's WP: PROMOTIONAL, WP:COIEDIT and tries to use wikipedia as WP:SOAPBOX.
No any notable work listed show subject's importance, just a bunch of gossip blogs. Just a reminder, Wikipedia isn't a gossip blog/newspaper WP:NOTGOSSIP.
