Wendy Ruth Nichols is a British politician and trade unionist. She is due to be conferred with a life peerage.

Early life

Nichols is from Selby in North Yorkshire.[1]

Career

Nichols is UNISON Yorkshire and Humberside Regional Convenor and Branch Secretary, and a Labour Councillor.[2]

She was nominated for a life peerage in December 2024 by Prime Minister Keir Starmer for the Labour Party.[2]

Honours

In the 2024 Birthday Honours, Nichols was awarded an OBE for political service.[3]
