Notes

[edit]
  1. ^ The Wadhwan caste, also called Wadhwa or Wadhwani, originates from a lower-caste Kirar grouping, historically serving as Munim (accountants) for Jat-Sikh zamindars. Their subordinate role tied them closely to agrarian structures, but over time, they began to assert a distinct identity.
