Early life and education

[edit]

Herman grew up on a farm near Medicine Hat, Alberta; his parents run the farm. He has three siblings and played sports on teams with his older brother, meaning he played with and against players who were two and three years older.[3] For a year, he played football for the University of Alberta in Edmonton.[4] During that time, he won an Oglivy's competition, OgilvyOne's greatest salesman. The prize was a three month marketing fellowship on Madison Avenue in New York City.[5]

Career

[edit]

Herman has helped New York Yankees's staff and the Danish Olympic team improve their performance.[6][7][8]

In February 2019, he published his first book, The Alter Ego Effect.[9][10] It was reviewed by the Delhi Business Review.[11] The next month, the book was on The Wall Street Journal's list of best-selling books.[12] It was listed on the Missoulian and Qatar Tribune's lists.[13][14] In February 2020, he published a children's book, My Super Me: Finding the Courage for Tough Stuff.[15] Herman is also the founder of 90 Day Year.[4]
