Removal of sources

There was a recent removal of sources alleging that the connection between the hospital and the source material was remote.[1] However, I'd like to point out the article "St. Joseph Medical Center's CEO resigns" discusses how the CEO that just stepped down was hired was because of the scenario described in the sources. I understand the undue concerns, the article needs expansion, but there is no long-term justification to exclude all that material. The extended headline of the article is St. Joseph Medical Center's CEO resigns: Jeffrey Norman brought in during shake-up following stent scandal, after all. And what about the quote that said "was employed under circumstances in which any employee would feel at least some pressure to produce a high volume of stents". That's not remote. There's only so much you can do in an edit summary. The article needs to be expanded before the recent controversial material can be inserted (assuming it's done properly). The article needs to have more information on the hospital, what it does, etc. It had some of that before you removed it and replaced it with the negative material. What you removed may not have been perfect, but you can feel free to expand the article in a neutral way, and then the negative material might be appropriate if presented with the correct weight and in a balanced fashion.--Bbb23 (talk) 21:58, 14 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
