Fair use rationale for Image:SSX Tricky.jpg
[edit]Image:SSX Tricky.jpg is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 09:41, 6 June 2007 (UTC)

Missing songs?
[edit]I remember a lot more back when I played the game. There was one called "superwoman" and another called "Bass Invaders" by John Morgan. ... I think... Not sure... a few others, is this just the soundtrack as it came out on disc? Anyway, these are really hard to find, even illegally, and they're not even listed as soundtrack. How odd. ~TJ —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.120.118.222 (talk) 01:28, 9 March 2008 (UTC)
I have added a lot more of the in game soundtrack to the article now. I hope it is informative.JHobbs103 (talk) 21:37, 13 April 2009 (UTC)
It seems the extra songs I added have been removed in a subsequent edit with no reason cited. I will add them again unless there is actually a discussion to be had.JHobbs103 (talk) 01:09, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
- Per Bovine below, list of songs are generally WP:TRIVIA/WP:GAMECRUFT. A section on the game's released soundtrack is generally ok, but have a "list of songs that are featured in the game" is not. Thanks! Fin©™ 08:53, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
- That's fair enough. Thanks for the reasoning. JHobbs103 (talk) 09:27, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
Deletion of character list
[edit]The character list was well written and informative. No issues were raised prior to the deletion of the section so I will add it back in unless there is any oppositionJHobbs103 (talk) 01:11, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
- Character lists generally go against WP:GAMECRUFT. Sometimes it is acceptable to describe notable characters or introduce the characters in prose. Hope that helps. BOVINEBOY2008 05:13, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
- Surely a one liner about each character is not 'excessive fictional detail'. The game is very style-centric with larger than life characters. Each character has a unique style and a lot of them have famous voice actors. I think it is appropriate to mention this. JHobbs103 (talk) 09:41, 23 May 2009 (UTC)
- Maybe a brief mention of famous voice actors is appropriate in the Development section (which I plan to add), but the character list is definitely WP:GAMECRUFT. I will probably delete as I did in the SSX 3 article and move any relevant information into the Gameplay section. BlookerG talk 00:47, 4 January 2015 (UTC)

PAL Release date
[edit]Hi - the PAL Release date is wrong, since the Gamecube didn't come out in PAL regions until 3 May 2002.
I remember picking up this game near launch in Summer of 2002, so that gives a clue as to the real launch date in Europe. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.173.117.213 (talk) 16:12, 18 June 2011 (UTC)
Improvements
[edit]Here to bump the article up to at least a B. Problems include:
- An extremely brief lead section; notability and summary of game should be added
- A small gameplay section which relies too much on information from other games; some people may want to know everything about this title without having to read up on the previous one
- A mode section which shouldn't exist; information should be placed into the gameplay section.
- A characters section, which is WP:GAMECRUFT and should be removed, with any useful information moved to gameplay and/or...
- ...a development section, which needs to be added.
- The reception section, which needs to be expanded with a general view on what critics liked and disliked, plus excerpts from reviews
