Improvement suggestions
[edit]Nice work, Mathieu. However, a few things that could be improved. The tone of the article is (in my opinion) over-biased to Wolfe and his actions. While he is the aggressor and deserves more attention, Montcalm is not entirely passive. A few things that might help the balance:
- a summary of the French defences (including troop counts and how long it took to construct the Beauport line)
- how does Montcalm react when the ships pass the city? (presumably the Samos battery is the result of Montcalm's reaction, but this is hardly clear as currently written)
- According to Parkman, Montcalm moves forces significantly toward Montmorency (reinforcing the left) when he realizes what Wolfe is up to in the opening moves of the battle.

- Yes, you are right that the focus is too much on what Wolfe is doing. I will see what I can gather to address these points. -- Mathieugp (talk) 15:36, 25 July 2009 (UTC)
