Steve Combs (born July 22, 1941) is an American wrestler. He competed in the men's freestyle 78 kg at the 1968 Summer Olympics.[1] Combs wrestled collegiately at Iowa, where he was a Big Ten champion and NCAA runner-up. He helped play a major role in growing USA Wrestling and was later a successful high school coach in Deerfield, Illinois. In 1985, he was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame as a Distinguished Member.[2]
