Jonathon Cooper (born January 8, 1998) is an American professional football linebacker for the Denver Broncos of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football for the Ohio State Buckeyes.
College career
[edit]Cooper played college football at Ohio State University from 2016 to 2020.[1][2][3] Over 45 games during his career, he had 75 tackles and 10 sacks.[4]

Cooper was drafted by the Denver Broncos in the seventh round, 239th overall, of the 2021 NFL draft.[6] On June 15, 2021, Cooper signed his four-year rookie contract with Denver.[7]
Two days before the NFL draft, Cooper received bad news from doctors that there was an irregularity in his electrocardiogram test. Cooper had to have three separate heart procedures on the offseason to correct the irregular heartbeat.[8]
On November 4, 2024, Cooper signed a four-year, $60 million extension with the Broncos.[9]
