Dotun Ajegbile

Dotun Ajegbile (born 1978 in Lagos, Nigeria) is a Nigerian entrepreneur, recognized for his involvement in the sports and gaming industry in Nigeria.

Early Life and Education

He obtained an Advanced Executive Diploma in Project Management from Lagos Business School at Pan-Atlantic University. Ajegbile is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) accredited by the Project Management Institute. He also earned a master's degree in Online Gaming and a Certificate in Sports Betting Management from the Totally Gaming Institute in the United Kingdom[1][2][3]

Career

Ajegbile co-founded Winners Bookmaker Nig. Ltd in 2009, where he served as Chief Executive Officer until 2019. During this period, the company established itself as one of Nigeria's early operators in the sports betting industry. 

In 2019, he assumed the role of Chairman at BetlandGaming, overseeing its strategic direction and operational expansion. He co-founded Scorama Pragmatic Media in 2022, a company involved in sports media and entertainment, and SoftPlug Gaming Nig. Ltd, which operates YellowLotto, a lottery service provider.    

He is a member of the Board of Trustees of the Association of Nigerian Bookmakers and is also affiliated with the PMI Houston Chapter.[4][5]   

Awards and Recognition

Ajegbile was recognized with the Most Innovative Sports Betting Operator of the Year award by the Lagos State Lotteries Board in 2014 and 2015. In 2018, he received the Sports Executive of the Year award from the Nigerian Sports Awards.[6]     

Philanthropy

He is a founding member of the Dotun Ajegbile Foundation, a nonprofit organization that provides educational and athletic scholarships for underprivileged children in Nigeria.[7]       

Involvement in the Gaming Industry

Ajegbile has participated in initiatives aimed at addressing challenges within the gaming sector in Nigeria, including advocating for industry regulations and the adoption of technology to modernize operations.[8][9] [10][11]
