American college football season
The 2024 West Virginia Mountaineers football team represented West Virginia University as a member of the Big 12 Conference during the 2024 NCAA Division I FBS football season . The Mountaineers played their home games at Milan Puskar Stadium located in Morgantown, West Virginia .
Head coach Neal Brown was fired on December 1, a day after a blowout loss to Texas Tech in the team's regular season finale. He finished at WVU with an overall record of 37–35 through six seasons.[ 1] Offensive coordinator Chad Scott was named the Mountaineers' interim head coach.[ 2]
