American college football season
The 1982 Ohio State Buckeyes football team represented the Ohio State University in the 1982 Big Ten Conference football season. Led by fourth-year head coach Earle Bruce, the Buckeyes compiled an overall record of 9–3 with a mark of 7–1 in conference play, placing second in the Big Ten. Ohio State was invited to the 1982 Holiday Bowl in San Diego, where the Buckeyes defeated BYU. The team played home games at Ohio Stadium in Columbus, Ohio.
