I never thought I would like anything Boho and I never thought I would paint a wall something named Simply White. But I did… and I love it!
Boho Girls Room With Simply White Painted Walls
This is the reason why I even decided to try out Boho and brighten up a paint color. This girl. She is happy and colorful and just lights up any room. She was also tired of the boring yellow walls and mismatched decor in her room, which happens to be the smallest in the house. Bless her sweet heart.
This is what her room looked like before, but it was about to get a complete overhaul. She wanted no more yellow walls, no more oversized bed (after all there should be room to do back handsprings in everyone’s bedroom, right?) and no more lack of her eclectic style. She has watched a million home improvement shows and knows a thing or two about her style.
When preparing to paint any room, you have to have the right supplies. We picked out Simply White paint, it barely eeked by hot pink in the decision race. We also gathered our rollers and my go-to painters tape, FrogTape® brand painter’s tape.FrogTape® is introducing the only tapes in the market treated with PaintBlock®: FrogTape® Multi-Surface and FrogTape® Delicate Surface painter’s tape.
It is so simple to use and we had the room taped off in less than an hour. This is the best painters tape to use because FrogTape® brand painter’s tape is the only painting tape treated with patented Paintblock® technology. It reacts with the water in latex paint and instantly gels to form a barrier against paint bleeding so you have sharp lines.
I even had mini-blogger, La La, helping me. And then we painted and painted … and then painted some more.
As you can see, I would not say that I am the cleanest painter and there is still a crisp clean line when the tape is removed!
Ta da! A gorgeous white room! We put together an inexpensive daybed, so now there is plenty of tumbling room for my girl.
My favorite part of the room is the tapestry. When my sister got married, she danced with my dad to the John Denver song, Sunshine on My Shoulders. I can still remember it vividly, which I’m so grateful for since has has been gone for over five years now. That tapestry makes me think of him and her… La La and my sister are a lot of like, so it was fate and also the inspiration for the entire room.
I love that the white background allows me to go wild with color. If you know La La, you know that she is vibrant and fun and she loves color. Bright, bold, and it never all has to match and she can totally pull it off. So fun pillows in every shape, pattern and color and a fun throw were destined for the bed.
I kind of want to move in to her room… you can’t help but smile when you are in there.
Stay tuned… more fun Boho Girls Room projects to come! You can also find more FrogTape® painting inspiration

You did an amazing job, the room looks really good! I really like the tapestry too. The colors really adds character into the room. The white walls gives it a simple yet a sophisticated, modern look. Even though the room isn’t heavily decorated with lots of furniture, it looks really put together and open. The day bed was a good decision too! It saves space and yet still looks amazing with everything else. The colorful pillows were a nice touch. I wouldn’t mind getting an inspiration or two from this!
