Cheswick

• Christmas in Cheswick will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Dec. 7 in Memorial Park and on Maclean Avenue. Sponsored by the Springdale High School Marching Band Boosters and Cheswick Recreation Board. There will be vendors, a basket raffle, food trucks, crafts, children’s activities, a DJ and free hot chocolate and cookies. Santa and Mrs. Claus will arrive at 6 p.m. and be available until 7 at the gazebo. Details: 724-882-7231 or [email protected].

East Deer

• Light Up Night will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 6 in Memorial Park, 700 Front St., Creighton. There will be crafts and an opportunity to write a letter to Santa. Santa will arrive on the East Deer Volunteer Fire Department fire truck. The township will sponsor a house decorating contest. Registration required by Dec. 4. Contest registration: 724-224-3434.

Jefferson Township

• Concordia Lutheran Ministries will host its annual live Nativity Dec. 8 in front of the Haven II building, 148 Marwood Road. Performances last 15 minutes and begin at 4:30, 5:15 and 6 p.m. Free parking will be available at Entrance 6 on Marwood Road. Hot beverages and refreshments will be served and gifts will be presented to guests 12 and younger. Bring a camera for photos with Santa. Donations of cereal, instant potatoes, soups, canned fruit and vegetables, peanut butter and new reusable grocery bags will be accepted for the Lighthouse Foundation food pantry. Lower Burrell

• Christmas in the Woods will be from 2 to 5 p.m. Dec. 14 at Kotecki Park. Lower Burrell churches will participate and there will be a candy cane hayride, live Nativity animals, music, caroling, a s’mores bonfire, adult crafts, food booths, Christmas marketplace and Santa Claus. Nonperishable food items will be collected for a local food pantry. A parade will begin at 7 p.m. at Hillcrest Shopping Center.

New Kensington

• Shop Small Saturday Crawl will be from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 30 in downtown business district. More than 30 businesses will participate. Stop in at Voodoo Brewing Co., 956 Fifth Ave., to enter for a chance to win prizes.

• The Christmas tree lighting will be at 5:30 p.m. Dec. 6 at the clock at the corner of Ninth Street and Fourth Avenue. The free Mayor’s Annual Christmas Dinner will be at 6 p.m. at Firehall No. 1 on Fourth Avenue. Everyone welcome. The Christmas parade will begin at 11 a.m. Dec. 7.

Oakmont/Verona

• The Hometown Christmas celebration and parade will be from 3 to 8 p.m. Saturday on Allegheny River Boulevard. There will be vendors and entertainment. A parade will begin at 5 p.m. in Verona and proceed to Oakmont, and a drone show will be at 7 p.m. Santa will greet visitors after the parade at the Oaks Theater.

• The Oakmont Home Tour will be from noon to 4 p.m. Dec. 1. Cost: $25. Tickets are available at the Chamber of Commerce at 412-828-3238 or online at eventbrite.com.

Plum

• Christmas at Plum Creek will be from 5:30 to 9 p.m. Dec. 5 at the Plum Municipal Complex, 2000 Mike Thomas Way. There is no on-site parking. Parking and round-trip transportation will be available starting at 5 p.m. from Plum High School, Amplify Church and Holy Family Parish. There will be visits with Santa, food trucks, music by Plum High School ensembles, a train display, crafts, kids games, a Santa Shoppe and live reindeer. A drop box for new toys for Toys for Tots will be at the borough building.

Springdale

• A Christmas party will be from 6 to 9 p.m. Dec. 13 in the borough gymnasium. There will be refreshments, crafts and photos with Santa.

Tarentum

• The Alle-Kiski Valley Historical Society will host four evenings of Christmas music at the Heritage Museum, 224 E. Seventh Ave. Performances scheduled are: 7 p.m., Dec. 3, Deer Lakes High School Chorus; 6:30 p.m. Dec. 4, Deer Lakes High School Strings; 7 p.m. Dec. 10, Valley High School Jazz Band; and 7 p.m. Dec. 18, Deer Lakes High School Jazz Band. Donations will be accepted.

Vandergrift

• Christmas Unplugged at the Casino Theatre will be at 7 p.m. Dec. 7. Music will be by Lenny Collini and the Family Pak, VZH&M, Nicole Belli, Sourmash Unplugged, Megan Paullet and Pat & Dave. Cost: $15. Tickets: casinotheater.org or stop in at Pomfret’s Paint & Variety, 149 Farragut Ave., Vandergrift. Proceeds will benefit the theater.

West Deer

• A free Breakfast with Santa will be from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 8 at West Deer Volunteer Firehall No. 1, 1520 Saxonburg Blvd. Doors open at 10 a.m. There will be crafts, toy raffles and a visit with Santa and Mrs. Claus. Sponsored by the township parks and recreation board and the fire department.
