Hey, I’m Tommi.
At times you may cross paths with me on planet Earth, but usually I hang out in a parallel dimension, ruled by curiosity and overwhelming enthusiasm, but also scattered with anxiety and confusion. The essence of my being is Tomminess.

I am always eager to meet new people, in particular when a virtual contact becomes an appointment in person. Currently I am based in Tallinn, Estonia, don’t hesitate to schedule a meeting if you are around!

I am not on social media
In 2021 I deleted all my profiles on mainstream centralized social media platforms—with the exception of Linkedin (need it for work…).
At the time I could not find any unique resource cataloguing all the reasons mainstream social media are terrible. Therefore, I created a website myself, explaining all the reasons why to quit social media, along with reliable informative material.
A workshop on the Internet!
I created 🪡 Knitting Our Internet 🧶, an interactive workshop travelling through the history of the Internet, and proposing a collective re-imagining of participatory, decentralised alternatives.
This experience aims at questioning the very essence of today’s social networks, exposing the critical limits given by centralization, monopoly, and surveillance capitalism.
