boogiedroid Urgh! What can I say? Anything I write here will just be inarticulate & clumsy, nothing like the feelings I get when listening. I mean it's great. Yeah, something as facile as that, a pointless word but true.

There's magic happening here but it's elusive, elemental. Alchemy. It expresses more than the listener, me, can perceive. But I absorb it anyway.

Favorite track: Sink In.

Alasdair Duncan It's a bit uneven, but there's still a lot to like on this new album. Favorite track: Beating.

Colourgrade follows on from 2018â€™s immediate cult classic LP, Devotion. It forms a subconscious snapshot from across a year when Tirzah was playing live regularly for the first time, in the depths of promoting Devotion and recorded soon after the birth of her first child and shortly before her second child was born. The album explores recovery, gratitude and new beginnings, presenting a singer having discovered the type of love that is shared between a mother and a child for the first time, whilst simultaneously working as an artist.
