Before you preorder the new Apple Watch Series 10, you might want to consider Taito’s new smartwatch. It includes functionality like fitness tracking but adds a feature the Series 10 didn’t: a playable version of Space Invaders.
Pricing and details on how you play the game (is it touchscreen only?) will be revealed when the watch’s Kickstarter launches.
Here’s our first look at the new Apple Watch Series 10 and the new jet black Ultra 2. The Series 10 comes with bigger than ever screens, a new processor, a depth gauge, and the ability to detect signs of sleep apnea. Except that last one isn’t quiet ready yet. Just like many things announced at Apple’s Glowtime event.
Apple’s iPhone 16 event: the 8 biggest announcements
From the iPhone 16 to the Watch Series 10, here’s what Apple’s latest event had in store.
The Apple Watch made smartwatches the wearable of choice
It’s been ten years since the Apple Watch was announced. Where does it go from here?
All TicWatch Pro 5 devices will get the rollout over the next few weeks, so don’t freak out if you don’t see it just yet. The good thing is Wear OS 4 will add backup and restore, meaning you’ll be able to swap phones without needing to factory reset your watch. Plus, Mobvoi’s also adding new fitness features.
Just don’t ask when the Wear OS 5 upgrade is coming.
The feature was announced alongside the Pixel Watch 3, but it’s now rolling out to all Wear OS watches. Once you download a map onto your phone, it’ll automatically be accessible from the wrist too. There’ll also be two new complications for your watch face that lets you search for destinations by voice or tap to view your surroundings.
Apple has rolled out a new version of iOS 17.6.1 that fixes a bug that had prevented users from enabling its Advanced Data Protection feature, as spotted by MacRumors.
watchOS 10.6.1 is also out with a fix for a bug that kept users from accessing Apple Fitness Plus through the watch, the outlet separately writes.
In the latest public beta for Google Maps, the app will automatically download maps, apparently for your local area, and you’ll have the option to delete them, according to 9to5Google.
Without the update, you’d need an LTE version of wearables like the Pixel Watch 2 for turn-by-turn directions without a paired phone nearby. (The Pixel Watch 3 already supports offline maps.)

Peloton announced today that starting in September, Fitbit Premium users will get free access to more than 10 types of Peloton classes, including those for strength training, Pilates, running, and boxing.
That’s all part of a “multi-year” agreement between Peloton and Google. Peloton members will also be offered deals on the Google Pixel Watch and Fitbit Charge 6.

Samsung Galaxy Watch 7 review: tried and true
It’s not an ambitious smartwatch, but honestly, it doesn’t have to be.
The rumored 45mm model will start at $50 more than the $349 price for the 41mm model, according to Android Headlines. With Google’s next big hardware event coming up on August 13th, we probably won’t have to wait long to see if that pricing is accurate.

Samsung Galaxy Watch Ultra review: if you can’t beat ’em, join ’em
Functionally, copying Apple works for the Galaxy Watch Ultra. It’s just disappointing.
