BELGOROD, December 20. /TASS/. The Ukrainian military attacked 31 settlements in Russia’s borderline Belgorod Region with 55 unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) and 34 munitions in the past 24 hours, Governor Vyacheslav Gladkov said on his Telegram channel on Friday.
"In the Shebekinsky municipal district, 13 artillery shells were fired in four bombardments and 18 drones were launched on the town of Shebekino, the settlements of Krasnoye and Shamino, the village of Nizhnyeye Beryozovo-Vtoroye, the farmsteads Balki, Mukhin and Pankov. The attacks damaged two private homes, two outbuildings and a car," the governor said.
During the last 24-hour period, the Ukrainian military fired seven munitions and launched 17 UAVs against 11 settlements in the Belgorodsky district, damaging two houses, an outbuilding and three cars. In the Valuisky district, 11 Ukrainian drones attacked four settlements and the farmstead Nizhniye Melnitsy, damaging a private home, an outbuilding and a car, he specified.
The Ukrainian military fired 14 munitions and launched one UAV against three settlements in the Graivoronsky district. In the Borisovsky district, four Ukrainian drones attacked the villages of Baitsury and Tsapovka, damaging a private home, he said.
Russian air defenses shot down a Ukrainian fixed-wing UAV over Belgorod. Its fragments fell on a social facility’s parking lot, damaging eight cars. Also, windows and a door of one of the buildings were damaged, the governor said.
In the Yakovlevsky district, two Ukrainian drones attacked two settlements, damaging a communications facility. Air defenses shot down a Ukrainian fixed-wing UAV over the Prokhorovsky district, with no casualties or damage, he said.
