- It was revealed that Keith Famie was supposed to be on Survivor: Borneo, but was held over until this season.
- Clips from Tina Wesson's, Maralyn Hershey's, Colby Donaldson's, and Alicia Calaway's audition videos were shown.
- Maralyn played her didgeridoo while going into commercial break. She explained being in the Outback inspired her to learn how to play the didgeridoo.
- A black and white photo of a young Maralyn from 1977 was shown.
