Your activity in Google Wallet is saved in your Google Account. This activity includes items like passes you save to Wallet and how you use them. You can control how this data is used, what data is saved, and manage your privacy settings.
About passes
In Google Wallet, passes include items like:
- Gift cards
- Transit cards
- Boarding passes
- Event tickets
- Loyalty cards
- Digital car keys
- Campus IDs
Tips:
- Passes donât include digital receipts or payment methods, like debit and credit cards. Your payment methods continue to be managed separately under the Google Pay experience privacy settings. Learn how Google Pay helps keep your data private.
- Private passes, such as insurance cards and IDs, are managed differently. Learn more about private passes.
- The Google Wallet website is only available in certain countries and regions.
- You can also update passes data settings on your computer at myactivity.google.com/product/wallet.
Passes data settings
Personalization within Google WalletThis setting allows Google Wallet to give you tips, suggestions, and helpful features based on how you use your passes. Info like the types of passes you saved and how you used them are used to personalize your Wallet experience.
This setting is turned on by default, and you can turn it off at any time. If the setting is off, you can still find and use any of your passes, but your experience isnât personalized based on your activity.
To turn this setting on or off in the app:
- On your phone, open the Google Wallet app .
- In the top right, tap your Profile picture or Account Your data in Wallet Manage passes data.
- Turn Personalization within Wallet on or off.
To turn this setting on or off on the website:
- Go to the Google Wallet website.
- On the left, click Settings.
- Under âData & Privacy,â click Manage passes data.
- Turn Personalization within Wallet on or off.
This setting lets you access passes from your Google Wallet from within other Google products such as Google Maps and Calendar.
This setting is on by default, and you can turn it off at any time. If itâs turned off, info from Google Wallet isnât shared with other Google services.
To turn this setting on or off in the app:
- On your phone, open the Google Wallet app .
- In the top right, tap your Profile picture or Account Your data in Wallet Manage passes data.
- Turn Use passes across Google on or off.
To turn this setting on or off on the website:
- Go to the Google Wallet website.
- On the left, click Settings.
- Under âData & Privacy,â click Manage passes data.
- Turn Use passes across Google on or off.
Turn off sharing for individual passes
Important: Certain objects arenât shared if they have sensitive info. For example, if you store a Vaccine Card in Google Wallet, it isnât accessible from other Google services.
If the passes privacy control setting is on, you can control whether you can access individual passes from within Google. To change the setting for an individual pass (available on the Google Wallet app only):
- On your phone, open the Google Wallet app .
- Tap the pass that you want to manage.
- You may need to swipe to find it.
- At the bottom, tap Details.
- At the bottom, turn Use pass across Google on or off.
Important: This personalization setting isnât available if the setting âUse passes across Googleâ is turned off.
When this setting is turned on, you may get personalized results and recommendations in places like Maps, Calendar, and Assistant. Personalization is based on the passes you have in Wallet and how you use them. You can turn this setting off at any time.
This setting is off by default, you can turn it on or off at any time. If it's turned off, you can still find and use any passes that you saved but you donât get personalized results and recommendations in other Google services.
