UAE donates hospital to Northern Bahr el Ghazal

December 26, 2024 (AWEIL EAST) – The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has donated a state of-the-art hospital to Aweil East County in Northern Bahr el Ghazal State.
The office of the state governor, in a statement issued on Monday, said work on the health facility in Madhol payam would be completed in a week.
A team of technical people to support the construction of the health facility have already arrived in the county.
The donation is considered as President Salva Kiir’s gift to the people of Northern Bahr el Ghazal State.
The State Minister of Information, Zackaria Garang said the hospital will offer specialized treatment to diseases often referred to the capital, Juba.
“This hospital, fully equipped with medical equipment and medicines, will be run by specialist doctors from the United Arab Emirates,” he explained.
According to the minister, the hospital will operate in containers, but the  construction of a permanent health facility will commence after two years.
The Abu Dhabi-based Burjeel Hospital Holdings is implementing the project.
