- "So a simple recovery then?"
"Except she didn't just make that offer to us, Master Windu. She broadcasted it far and wide."
"So speed is of the essence." - ―Mace Windu
By 42 BBY,[4] the thief Azita Cruuz stole the formula and samples of coaxium ultra on the planet Ro Mira, broadcasting an offer to provide both to anyone who could get her safely offworld and pay her enough credits. The Jedi Order dispatched Jedi Master Mace Windu on a mission to recover the formula and samples to prevent them falling into criminal hands. Despite efforts by Ro Mira refinery security,[3] the Hutt Clan bounty hunter Yaya Shram, and the anti-technology cult known as the Had'le Path,[1] Windu successfully extracted Cruuz and recovered the formula and sample.[2]

Marvel's Mace Windu #1 Showcases the Prequel Hero in an Early Adventure – Exclusive Preview on StarWars.com (backup link) establishes the events of Star Wars: Mace Windu takes place prior to Mace Windu's entry into the Jedi High Council, which is depicted in "Choices." As the episode occurs prior to Dooku's departure from the Jedi Order, which Star Wars: Timelines dates to 42 BBY, Star Wars: Mace Windu must take place by that year.
