The MC75C Star Cruiser was a class of Mon Calamari Star Cruiser present in the Citizens' Fleet during the Battle of Exegol[2] in 35 ABY between the Resistance and the Sith Eternal.[4]

Characteristics[]

The MC75C Star Cruiser shared a similar hull shape to that of a standard MC75 Star Cruiser, with notable differences being an aileron that was erected at the stern[5] and contained the bridge compartment at the end,[3] similar to the module used by the standard MC75[6] but placed above instead of below the hull. The MC75C was also identified by a topside ridge that ran along the hull from the bow, and a pod below the hull. The MC75C was also equipped with a hyperdrive, allowing it to traverse hyperspace on its way to the Unknown Regions.[3]

History[]

When Darth Sidious planned to unleash the deadly Sith Fleet upon the galaxy in 35 ABY, many MC75C Star Cruisers were among the massive Citizens' Fleet amassed by General Lando Calrissian to travel to Exegol. Several of the craft were ordained with colorful markings along their hull. After the defeat of Sidious at the hands of the Jedi Rey, the remaining Sith forces were defeated and the Citizens' Fleet emerged from the Sith world.[3]

Behind the scenes[]

The MC75C Star Cruiser first appeared in the final installment of the Star Wars saga and the sequel trilogy, Star Wars: Episode IX The Rise of Skywalker. It was first identified in an installment of Star Wars By the Numbers on StarWarsKids.com in 2020.[2] When developing ships for the Citizens' Fleet, the production team turned to some existing models to help fill out the scenes. The MC75C was created by modifying the existing MC75 Star Cruiser model created for Rogue One: A Star Wars Story.[7]
