A star was located in the Jaguada system[3] in the Sith Worlds region. It constituted a part of the Esstran sector[1] in the Trans-Hydian portion of[2] the Outer Rim Territories.[1] Along with the rest of its system, the star was situated along the Kamat Aegit and Kamat Krote hyperlanes[2] and was orbited by the planet Jaguada and its sole moon.[3]
By 19 BBY,[4] the star was dying. During the Galactic Empire's hunt for Roan Shryne and his companions that year, Jaguada's star was depicted as part of a large holomap of the Jaguada system that was displayed before Dark Lord of the Sith Darth Vader in the beacon room of the Jedi Temple on the planet Coruscant.[3]
Behind the scenes[]
Jaguada's star was introduced in the 2005 novel Dark Lord: The Rise of Darth Vader, written by James Luceno. Apart from being mentioned in the novel, the planet also appeared in a holographic representation of the entire Jaguada system.[3] The Jaguada system, and therefore the star, was placed in grid square R-5 by the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas.[2]
