- "We all have a place in The Great Work"
- ―Fara
Fara was a human female[2] individual who lived in the galaxy during the New Republic Era[4] together with their daughter Fern[2] on a planet. Fara was a teacher at a school on the planet[1] and part of the government as an undersecretary.[5] In 9 ABY,[4] Fara met a boy named Wim who found an old starship buried in the woods outside their city and together with two other children called Neel and KB, Wim and Fern investigated the ship but they accidentally activated it and became lost in space. Together with Wim's father Wendle, Fara tried to find the children and bring them back home.[1]

- ↑ 4.0 4.1 Star Wars: Timelines dates the events of "Chapter 1: The Mandalorian" and "Chapter 16: The Rescue" to 9 ABY. The events of Chapters 1–16 must therefore also take place in 9 ABY, and the events of Chapters 17–24 must take place around that year as well. As SWCA 2022: 20 Highlights from Lucasfilm's Studio Showcase on StarWars.com (backup link) states that Star Wars: Skeleton Crew is set in the same time period as The Mandalorian, it must therefore also be set around 9 ABY.
