During a war on the moon Alaris Prime, the Wookiee Attichitcuk was ambushed by Battle Droid Beta Versions of the Trade Federation. The leader of a group of Wookiee colonists who were legally authorized to colonize the moon, Attichitcuk had set out on a scouting expedition with two bowcaster troopers to investigate the presence of the Trade Federation, which was illegally attempting to take over Alaris Prime.
After locating several battle droids, the Wookiees headed for a base but encountered another group of droids that attacked the Wookiees after demanding their surrender. The two troopers were killed and Attichitcuk seriously injured, though the chieftain was quickly rescued by his son, Chewbacca, and received medical aid.
