movie reviews, and other ramblings

It`s what's inside — the movie
It`s what's inside — the movie

Netflix is streaming psychological thrillers like a pro. In this 2024, R rated, 103 minute movie directed by Greg Jardin, a snazzier movie poster might've caught my attention sooner. It's only made it to streaming since October 4, and today's November 13, so it didn't take me long to find it. This is one I know people with loose marbles in there head are gonna like. And I mean that in a sincere, loving manner.

It's a movie with an anti-hero, if you can figure out which character in the story is him/her. What I really like is the fresh faces in these new actors and not having to sit thru a film because Hollywood only gives A LIST actors the good films. It was a movie that had me replacing the color of the police uniforms in time for when the cops ENTER scene. It's almost as though the dialog was preparing everyone in the audience that: 'the cops are here!' and 'the cops are coming!' Very down to earth. Very fresh. I think these scenes of warning are probably the best ones to figure out who's who in the story.

I dunno if this is even a film that was out in theaters for a stretch before making it to on-demand. It made a debut in Sundance Film Festival around January, so… maybe?

I’m trying to link these 2 public figs to a believable, not necessarily true, conspiracy plot

Of course , not the center of the story.. more like the b-story. Not even that; more like innuendo, something surmised by the whole of the backstory (and I it’s for my own amusement… to maintain interest in the scenes I write long enough to accumulate 90 pages.)

I doubt something like this is even heard of in the movie business, as I’m sure Siobhan Fahey would have something to say about it.

The premise of the conspiracy is a CRACKDOWN on THE PUBLIC SCHOOL SYSTEM teaching curriculum for SECONDARY grade level. At that age, for most students, ADOLESCENCE becomes an issue. Public school system has AN UNSPOKEN obligation to inspire continued education beyond the max 12th grade level (for public school students) which probably saves taxpayers somehow from unwanted premarital pregnancies (but that was before Roe v. Wade was overturned.)

Somehow, someway, the ANTAGONIST is witness to STUDENT FILES INFORMATION. It took her a long time, but eventually her persistence was rewarded. She found the file for a boy she sees at the lunch lines. SHE could only catch glimpses of info to deflect suspicion, but she couldn't dismiss the opportunity when left alone and THE SKINNY BOY whom's application for the FOOTBALL team is right in front of her. These documents are signed by PARENTS and so they get filed in the confidential files.

The TEACHERS' AIDE program allows some students to work in an office setting for credit towards accumulated UNITS required for GRADUATION. The how and why antagonist explores these internal file entries on a student reveals the plot of such key points as Michael Jackson’s billboard trend, Dexi’s midnight runners music video for the song that knocks Jackson off his streak. The resemblance between Alayne Katz, the sibling of Gail Katz, murdered by her husband, and the cultural scrutiny between the limelite upbringing of Jennifer Grey and her link with the Carnegie Deli massacre.

804 vs. 707 — The spray bottle test continues with an Iron Gall Nut ink, which is a limited edition!

These are the notes I take when I listen to HAM radio. I don't really know what I'm doing when I take notes. My objective is to find GMRS channels where I can listen to police dispatch nearby.

Next week is Super Tuesday and I hear there's a revolution brewing. Who knows if the Internet will even be available. The wars will take to the airwaves IMO and I'm not sure I have a lot of confidence in the local news for information. Obviously big media has a role in the outcome, whether it be taking bribes to air one party as the winner, or hackers gaining access to networks and completely masterminding the manipulation of the election results. ha-ha, wouldn't that make an exciting docudrama.

I'll be transcribing these nonsensical notes just for fun. The calligraphy pens I'm using, with all the different ink colors and the different size of text, are helpful in thumbnailing headings, bold text, regular text, etc. I'll upload the results after I transcribe my notes.
