movie reviews, and other ramblings
Netflix is streaming psychological thrillers like a pro. In this 2024, R rated, 103 minute movie directed by Greg Jardin, a snazzier movie poster might've caught my attention sooner. It's only made it to streaming since October 4, and today's November 13, so it didn't take me long to find it. This is one I know people with loose marbles in there head are gonna like. And I mean that in a sincere, loving manner.
It's a movie with an anti-hero, if you can figure out which character in the story is him/her. What I really like is the fresh faces in these new actors and not having to sit thru a film because Hollywood only gives A LIST actors the good films. It was a movie that had me replacing the color of the police uniforms in time for when the cops ENTER scene. It's almost as though the dialog was preparing everyone in the audience that: 'the cops are here!' and 'the cops are coming!' Very down to earth. Very fresh. I think these scenes of warning are probably the best ones to figure out who's who in the story.
I dunno if this is even a film that was out in theaters for a stretch before making it to on-demand. It made a debut in Sundance Film Festival around January, so… maybe?
