Anthony Wilford Brimley (September 27, 1934 – August 1, 2020) was an American actor. Brimley has appeared in the movies The China Syndrome, Cocoon, The Thing and The Firm. He has also appeared in television commercials for Quaker Oats and Liberty Medical. He was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and a former United States Marine.
He had diabetes which he speaks openly about in his commercials for Liberty Medical.
Brimley died on August 1, 2020 in St. George, Utah at the age of 85, after suffering kidney disease.[1]
