August 2024

[change source]

Hello, Ternera. When you revert a user's changes, like you did earlier, don't forget to leave the user a message on their talk page, especially when reverting vandalism or a test edit. You may find Template:User talk page warnings/table useful when doing this, to let them know that the change was considered inappropriate, and to direct them to the sandbox. Thank you. Declined

[change source]

Hi! Some things, like Talk:Arkansas, don't need QDing and instead just need to be fixed. Thanks, Astera🪻 talk edits 18:37, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

It would be better to blank the page instead of deleting it and starting over? Ternera (talk) 18:39, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, it could be better that way. Sometimes, there are easier options. Astera🪻 talk edits 18:39, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Vanilla software

[change source]

On vanilla software, the original reference was definitely bad, but you replaced it with a reference that doesn't even mention the term at all. (In any case, I'm going to nominate the article for deletion). Batrachoseps (talk) 18:36, 11 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Batrachoseps. Hmm, I replaced it with the reference that is used at enwiki. I do agree that reference I added is not much better than the previous one though. Since there is an article about the topic on enwiki, I do feel that it could be improved here to the point that it could be kept. Ternera (talk) 18:40, 11 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I don't know why enwiki uses that ref as it's completely useless for this subject. I'm not sure why the article there exists either, as it just seems like a definition. But if you really want, you can change the simple article to be more like that. The current simple article is called vanilla software but is really about modding, and it's full of unnecessary LLM padding. Batrachoseps (talk) 18:44, 11 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
At the moment, I am not interested in modifying the article to look like the one on enwiki. Maybe it would just be a better idea for you to do a RFD and see if someone else steps in to improve it. Ternera (talk) 18:48, 11 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. This page is not advertising. It is probably written by an AI. You need to take it to RfD. Thanks fr33kman 18:57, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for catching that. Ternera (talk) 19:02, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
