Super Mario Galaxy 2 is a video game for the Wii. It is the sequel to the 2007 game Super Mario Galaxy. It was first announced at E3 2009, and was released in the second quarter of 2010 in Japan, on May 23, 2010 in North America, on June 11, 2010 in Europe, and in June-August, 2010 in Australia. Unlike its predecessor, Super Mario Galaxy 2 allows the player to ride on Yoshi. Super Mario Galaxy 2 introduces two new power-ups: the Cloud Flower[1] and the Rock Mushroom.[2]
